well i just did a sas on the truck it came with venter rotor in the kit and i just put the 4 cylinder calipers back on the front they came off the old ifs front end
is v-6 calipers the same as 4 cylinder ifs calipers ? i got 4 cylinder on my truck and they are weak brakes.
so if i get v- 6 calipers you think that well fix my problem of my front brakes not locking up . now ive got a chevy master cylinder and rear disc brakes. my back brakes lock up but my front want.
Depends what year your truck is. After 90 they all came with the same calipers.
i got the 81 and calipers solid rotors on the back . yes the vavle is adjustable its all the way out
You guys got me considering a caliper upgrade for my 1988 pickup now. Mines stock with 22RE. I know the V6 calipers are supposed to bolt right on. Are there any clearance issues with 15 inch wheels? I have 31/10.50/15's on cheapy chrome modular steel wheels. How about the master cyl and booster? My son's 91 4 cyl pickup has stock brakes and stops WAY better than mine. His truck has a dual can booster. His truck can put you through the windshield with little pedal effort. Mine feels like non power brakes compared to his.Would I be able to bolt that type booster/master cyl on in combination with the V6 calipers for major braking improvements? There is a lot of misinformation out there. Is it true that 93 up 4Runner brakes would be the parts to get?
slightly relative topic but, arent the 4runner and v6 pickup rotors the same as fj60 rotors??? or can both of them be used??
