Good Day from Orygun
« on: Oct 18, 2009, 10:59:38 PM »
well shoot. I've been buying Marlin since i got my yoter, just been playing over with the yotatechians. I read here allot but hadn't posted till today.

Livin in SE Portland, like to play at browns and cruise around Mt. hood NF on the weekends. Weekdays are for wrenching so the weekends can fill up with fun.

Rigs a 94 runner with enough goodies to break stuff and not enough to get EVERYWHERE i wanna go so the saga continues. Not so much built for a rock crawler but a rig that will go through anything, or at least around anything cause some rocks are just flat out big.

Bought the runner with a blown motor so first on the list was a handbuilt 22RE. went through a few transmissions and finally got to a good standing point with my freshly rebuilt turbo tranny (with kit from marlin of course) and a 4.7.  BJ spacers and OME 900's stuff the 34 9.5 bias tsl under the otherwise stock chasis. Very happy with the setup so far.

Buddha likes riding shottie and i guess we are on to the pics.

So a picture of how she sits now.

Rebuilt tranny and case with 4.7. dipped cases and clearcoated.  :rivers: (its gonna get dirty)

However it cleans off real easy

The newest toy for the toy was a cheap set of half Low doors (they have an upper frame so well start a new thing and call em low

O and to add how much i love marlin stuff. Everything i have gotten was top notch craftsmanship and we all know how great the service is. (unless you try and call 30 min before closing the day before the marlin roundup, i completely understand and shoulda known better  :qtip:

My broken shift fork, thank god i like to upgrade

May as well end a new thing with some eye candy. don't worry, its work safe

Im always waiting to see someone one the road and online but rarely  yet. hehe cheesemaker, haha, it sounds funny when you say it out loud, cheese maker, lol. (not trying to be rude, just like them name, it makes me think about the note on someones marlin package from tilly saying send cheese. i dunno if its you or not). and how far nor cal? I like to consider northern cali as southern oregon and washington just north oregon. were all the same. i went to highschool in ashland for a couple years. I can't wait to not just watch turttle land but be part of it. thanks again

Nice allot of friends in the area. I was out at browns like 4-5 times in the last few weeks. Just playing around. Went on a Thur and it was dry = not many problems. Went on the sat and sun and it had poored =  allot more skill needed being way more fun. But id love to head back out and meet up. However i am in the mix of fixing my front ring gear/ should i just sasit. But soon.

No sweat dude, I grew up going to Tillamook High and we were the cheesemakers, and we hated being called that.  All the other schools used to make fun of us and asking us what a cheesemaker is.  :shake_head:  And now look at me, I run the vats at the cheese factory, and its my screen name!  :smack:

Yeah, that was my shipment from Marlin and it was Jon that wrote that on my invoice.  I always bring cheese to Marlin when I come down.  Marlin himself loves pepperjack!

So i thought since this might pop up on everyones unread posts that id give it a shot here. Going out to browns this weekend Nov 7 09. Most likely just a long single day. anyone else want to roll?

I was thinking of starting on Roger's Trail because i don't go over there very often. then cruising back over towards Fire Break and Archers. Archers being my personal goal for the weekend.
