Anybody here wear them ? , what's the deal with these things ? , everyone is starting to wear them and I just don't get it . Maybe I'm just a little older than the crowd who wears them but I know when I was younger you'd get laughed at and teased as a male wearing tight jeans . Not too mention how uncomfortable your tenders would be  :talkingn:

Vanity is a fickle pregnant dog, as are the mindless drones dumb enough to throw themselves all over the current trends just to fit in.

Or maybe you're not old enough to remember them from before...   :therethere:

Actually, I had to Google this, and it looks kinda like stuff that some of the early British rockers wore, way back when the Beatles first invaded us. Dunno if Mick Jagger ever moved on to a different style or not...   :ack:

I was in high school in the mid to late 80's and tight jeans were popular then too.   I think Guess was the popular brand at the time....And the more holes the better.   Remember hair bands.    Watch VH1-Classic sometime.    Kids always think they thought up a "new" fashion craze when all they ever do is recycle old ones.

hmmm.  Now if I could just find a way to fit into my old 34" waist pants.

Does anyone remember "pegging" you pants?  Maybe it was just a Souther California thing in the '80s.

I remember that from the 1950s, in the PNW...   :disturbed:

I'm only 32 so I "guess" should still know what the trends are but I'm clueless on these.  I asked my younger sister and some younger friends the other day about the "skinny leg jean" fad and the best answer I got was, "It's just what everyone is doing right now........."

The other fad I don't understand is the moppy top haircuts.  I pulled 6 years in the Marines so I realized my view of hairstyles is skewed a bit but I just don't understand, in the heat of summer, how you can stand to have that much hair on top of your head and then to be constantly flipping and flopping it like a swimsuit model is just beyond my comprehension.  Sorry if that offends anyone that may have "big hair" but maybe you could explain it all.

cheers

I'll admit to being out of the loop....  but back when I was  kid, "pegged pants" had nothing to do with rolling up the cuffs.

It meant stripping the seam crotch-to-cuff, removing as much material as you could (and still squeeze into them), and re-stitching, making for some very tight-fitting skinny pants.

A few kids had 'em, but I don't think I ever did. Not that my Mom would have done them for me anyway....    :shakehead:

High School?  Your not that much older than me Nate.... I was doing that in the mid '80s which would have  probably been '85-87 ( with BK's  :sly:).  I guess trends move to NorCal pretty slow.

The BMX guys around here started wearing "skinny jeans" awhile back.... no more duct taping the legs so they don't get caught in the chains.  Not that I think it's acceptable, I still tease them about it.  LOL.  But it's one explanation anyway
