OK guys so i kind of ran into a problem while driving home from school . My o so faithful truck is burning up all the water and blowing white smoke out of the exhaust.... i believe it is a head gasket leaking, and so hoping its not a blown head or block. I'm going to check the oil soon and make sure their is no water... before i tear in to the engine do you guys have any ideas

When you get a head gasket, get a rock or an oem toyota

Looks like you and Christian need to get on it.  And he should pay close attention: he's gonna need to get used to changing head gaskets.

You're retarded its getting rebuilt with all brand new seals itll hold up just fine

If you are gonna pull the head at  least get the head freshened up, deck done, seats  guides, if the budget allows. A worth wild investment.

yeah i might have to replace the whole engine....supposely the gasket has blown twice in the last 50,000 miles and thats after getting the head redone and putting a manufactured engine

that engine is built wrong it will blow alot

When this is engine was first introduced toyota put the wrong gaskets on which caused them to deteriorate super fast causing the engine to overheat then blow... then toyota recalled them put new, better gaskets on which allows the engine to last a lot longer.... it will hold up fine

for anyone that does not know gonzo is rebuilding a 3.0 6cylinder engine

ok so they found water in the oil so that means.... we are going to drop a new engine into it.... we believe the engine was also warped causing the head gaskets to blow often so we decided to just get a new engine...
