My bdrunner was demoted last night to a non-daily driver.  Technically, I ride the bus to work but still used the 4Runner as our second vehicle.  Now that we have a 9-1/2 month old son we needed to have a second form of family friendly transportation that my wife could drive.  Even if it didn't take a screwdriver to adjust the drivers seat in the 4Runner I can't imagine asking her to put the baby and carseat in the back of a rig sitting on 35 inch tires.  I have not even done it yet because it sounds so painful compared to the Sequoia.  We've been putting 1,600 miles per month on the Sequoia over the past 7 months and closer to 1,800 miles per month over the past three months so it was time to get an economic option.  Last night we picked up a 2008 Honda Civic EX that will be a perfect car for my wife to drive.  The Sequoia will be used whenever we need to extra room or two cars and the 4Runner is pretty much a play toy at this point that may even be parked at a friends house (under a cover) to open up a spot in the garage.  I will still drive it to the local trails but will likely have to figure something else out for trips to Moab if it's a family trip.  There simply isn't enough room for a 1,000 mile week long family trip.

 :driving:
1989 4Runner: Dual Ultimate (Inchworm front & Marlin 4.70 rear), Marlin Twin Stick, 1200-lb clutch, 4.88 R&P, Aussie Front, Detroit rear, 30-spline Longs, Long hub gears, ARP hub and knuckle studs & 35x12.50 Cooper STT PRO tires.  Marlin rear bumper & sliders.  FROR front bumper.  SAS with Alcan springs & Rancho 9000XL shocks.  Budbuilt Bolt-on traction bar.  Custom Interior Cage by Those Guys Rod and Customs.

Moab Tested & Rubicon Approved
