back your rig in your garage or park space and lock with chain and master lock the shifters in reverse and low. Or put the shifters in neutral and take them out and to bed with u.  Take ur coil wire to bed with u too.  Then u will be like duffil and have a whole parts store under your bed.

-I just pull my coil every night i park my truck....
-install a kill switch or two
-cheapo alarm system
-The Club (steering wheel Lock)
my buddy hooked up a blinking light on his dash to mimic a alarm that works too

-i learned a good one too if you put your t case in nutraul the crook will start you truck and try and drive and it just revs out. and he or she will get scared and say screw it.

those all help the starting you truck and driving away theif, idk what you could do to make it not roll......

works well too. :gap:

Of course a hacksaw or sawzall could take care of it, but my theory is simply to make my vehicle (and stuff) harder to steal than the next guys.  :dunno:  If they see it'd be too hard to get into/steal, they'll move along.

Typically, thieves are looking for an easy hit.  Sure, some are looking for something in particular, and will spend the extra time to get it, but the majority of them simply want something of value, something easy to get rid of to get some $$

But at that point it's breaking an entering.  You are more likely to get away with deadly force then.  "they were in my house officer, i was afraid for my life"

We have had 4 home invasions in our neighborhood (area of the mountain) in the last 2 to 3 months. I bought an M44 today and the next purchase is a 12 gauge.

Truck has no tranny, tcases or drive shafts in it right now so I am not too worried about it driving away at the moment. Considering ADT for the house. Anyone use their service?

If they manage to get out of the drive way before you make it outside you will still have time to run back in the house and eat breakfast before you start chasing them down.  :yesnod:

Around here it's mostly big trucks that are stolen...trucks that can be taken to Mexico to haul drugs or illegals back into Az.
You are close but They take the trucks to Mexico to sell cause they are worth more $$$ they. About 3 times more iirc.

I have an ignition kill wired to the coil, an alarm, and its chained to my trailer. My truck has been stolen 2x but luckily was found close with just the stereo and seats missing.

Negitive side battery kill switch. That way the @sshats can't cross wire and start up the truck. If the body is not grounded you can't get the starter to work.

Well the problem with that is in my neighborhood my neighbors are the thieves. Been trying to steal my fuel and get into my vehicles for years. The last time heard them running from my backyard I chased them down the street with a .357 in my hand, so far no more crap from the punks.
Probably not the thing to do but when ya get pushed push back much harder!

i worry about my truck all the time.the worst is leaving it at trail heads when i take my dog for a walk or at a secluded boat launch while out fishing. i use a GT grant removable steering wheel system so I'm fairly confident my truck wont go any wher but i worry parts of it might like my tires. thieves these days will part your rig in your dam drive way.

i want to drill a hole in my drive way with a rotohammer and install some kind of anchor point and just chain it up with a lock.  if somebody is that motivated to take your junk their gonna get it regardless.
can u imagine getting awaken in the middle of the night by some cholo draggin a chunk of your drive way down your street by a tow chain from your rear axle, of course the kill switch is more practical and you could always do both

or a chain through your rim and up around the frame. Just paint it bright colors that way they see it before they break something.

As I said in my post, I'm thinking of a pepperspray alarm, that fills the cab with pepper spray if the system isn't disabled.

That and making it reusable so you can  just go buy another can for like 10 bucks at walmart.

vigilantejustice

I'm down for an anti-theft party!

vigilantejustice

So I've got a new plan, original was to put a pepper sprayer over the driver's head and if the key was turned while the switch was off, the person , gets a pepper bath. The woman said that if she gets sprayed she would have to drive the truck into a tree..

My response was "You've seen the top gear episode, only one tree wont do :pokinit: to my truck haha"

anyways, I was thinking.... They have 2 way paging alarms with a trunk release button. If my alarm goes off and I can run outside, wire the trunk release button to the pepper sprayer....

but that'd suck if someone sat on the remote lmao

My buddy who lives in my complex runs a big a$$ chain from this truck to the steps. The guy who live over him would yell about it all the time then his truck was stolen and now he does the same thing. Both are nice 4bys. I leave mine up on jacks and the tires are in my living room. My girl is not big on it but its better then the rig going bye bye  I am going to wire up a few tricks like toggles that must be in a set order or it will not fire. 1 up 1 down 2 up kinda thing.  :gap:
