Shoot criminals instead of rehabilitating them?

What  :dunno: do you want to take a preemptive strike? Wouldn't one actually have to steal a car first to be a car thief?

My next best answer is...garage, keep your truck in one.

:talkingn:  it's funny that you say that . My buddy came by yesterday and told me him and his brother in law beat the $#!* out of 3 guys who tried to steel his brother in law's restored Ranchero out of his garage .

I once bought a gaggle of Bosch relays...while searching for wiring diagrams I came upon a site that listed a bazzillion security measures you could take with relays.

No, I don't remember the site...sorry.

What's the deal...y'all have lot of tweakers around there? Around here it's mostly big trucks that are stolen...trucks that can be taken to Mexico to haul drugs or illegals back into Az.

neighbor hood watch is good out here but probably not so much in cali,   point is, get to know your neighbors, let them know you want to help them and them help you watch your :pokinit:

everyone in my area knows nobody drives Glens yota besides Glen  so if they see Glens truck going down the hwy with some unknown dude behind the wheel , well to be honest dude's probably gonna get shot by one of my neighbors/friends

the cops here all know my truck as well,  from the cop that worked my wreck to the guys that have watched me drive into a ditch so the ambulance or cop car could get by me,  ive done it once not too long ago and as i was getting to town a tow truck driver waved me down , he stopped and asked me   "hey are you the blue toyota that took the ditch for the ambulance?",  i thought it was awesome that they thought I would need help.

not to mention i have fuel and ignition cut off's in strange and unusual places :eyebrow:

My Jeep when I was in High School had an ignition cut off hidden in the dash.  Easily accessible if you knew where it was.  Just have to get creative.

But at that point it's breaking an entering.  You are more likely to get away with deadly force then.  "they were in my house officer, i was afraid for my life"

i like having a kill switch wired to the coil. then you can hear them when they sit there turning it over but wont start. when i had my runner and i went to partys or the bar i would take my coil wire off and hide it.

it would be nice to have a after market  g.p.s system on board for the fact that it his happening so much there.
and be able to turn it on by remote/ a code from the police when somthing like that happens.
i don't know if they have that but i'm sure they do.

A $5.00 well placed toggle switch will do wonders for anti-theft protection.   the best place to hide it is in plain site.   Wire it to your hazard switch or something like that.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

back your rig in your garage or park space and lock with chain and master lock the shifters in reverse and low. Or put the shifters in neutral and take them out and to bed with u.  Take ur coil wire to bed with u too.  Then u will be like duffil and have a whole parts store under your bed.
