damn tempting but i don't think i need five trucks  :boobs:
im pissed.  i put a new timing chain tensioner and those little plastic guides in the '83 today cause the timing chain was slapping the cover and got it all back together and it was pouring water out of the timing cover where it meets the head so i gotta go back down to the shop tonight and pull all that crap back apart. :wall:

well, I have decided to return to my roots - IH SCOUTS.  Just got back from Gilmer today. I drove my friends truggy, scout with 1tons, coil rear and leafs front. I cleaned De Woody and was throughly impressed, along with making everything out there in 1try, no backing up.... I am going to be either parting out my allready built 85 yota, or will sell it complete to the right person/price.

swamper knows the specs and what this rig can do. If you want, email/pm me for specs....and or, i will list parts/prices here in the original forum for us down in the south.... Ryan Curry

depends on price, i'm doin better now (finally!!), just had to spend most of my extra money on gas for travel here these past 2 weeks for my sisters surgury and my grandmothers funeral.

quick question, do any of yall have an easy out set by any chance? 2 of the bolts holding the seat back of my suburbans driver seat broke and i dont have the tools to get them out.

other than that i need to buy a set of gloves when on my bike, a cover for it, new window track for my drivers door, and either upgrade my rear axle in the suburban or replace the carrier bearings, new tires within the next 10k miles and after that i'm all set with my current vehicles.

was pricing some parts the other day for my suburban for if i do an sas to it and heres what i found:
1. front axle-got another gm 10 bolt for free with warn hubs
2. np205's on ebay for between 200-400, or 300 for t-case and an sm465 tranny
3. new driveshaft, probably just get one from a junk yard and have it cut to length
4. 6" lift kit-500 bucks is usual.
or... i could just do a 3" lift on the suburban for 380 bucks, get ford keys for the t-bars for another 1-2" of lift (possibly, but might not) and add another leaf to the rear, and put 33"s on it so when i go out on my friends hunting lease we'll have something  to go in and carry alot of people, usually have 4-5 people out there at a time. still great road manners, works for the decent trails and excellent as a tow rig. then i can just be somebody's spotter until i can build up a better offroader.
