alright just got back from the department of transportation, truck has a lein on the title from Southern Cherokee FCU on 10/24/2005. Owners name is Trent O'Neal, Previous owner name is Johnny D Pritchett. no theft of vehicle reported, so if the guy trying to sell the truck is named Trent O'Neal, or his son is named that, then he's lost the title, but the truck does belong to him. in order for me or someone else to buy it the lein must be cleared by him, and he must go to the department of transportation to file for a lost title/transfer of title.

actually i was getting 14-15 city, 16 highway. now 11-12 city, 16 highway. his old runner got great mileage (87 i believe), about 21-23 city. i just finished doing the math on the gas prices, 390 miles a week is what i'll be doing, suburban comes out to $93 bucks in gas, bike is $24, $65 for the runner. this is will VERY conservitive driving. however, my insurance quotes for the bike are outrageous because of those 2 wrecks i was in last year (not my fault), so i might be stuck with just the burb, lets just say i wont be doing any mods for a long time if thats the case.

man that really sucks
understatement. the runner would save me about 112 bucks a month on gas, bike would save me 276 bucks on gas. monthly payments for the bike i want would be 124 a month, with 900 down. 183 a month with no down. so the runner would pay for itself in about 8 months in fuel savings, bike would pay for itself in 27 months in fuel savings. if i cant get a good insurance price for the bike i'm probably gonna have to get lookin real hard for a diesel engine for the burb, as well as a tranny. i'll know more probably tomorro.

welcome dtb, bout time you say hi! :slap: fraid  nobody on here from misouri.
alright i've been crunchin the numbers for my finances and heres what i've come up with:
heres an idea of what i'll be spending and what i'll have left over for the next few months:
food-80
car loan-143.28
rent-380
water-25
electric-120
cable-80, or sbc-25, maybe lower
bike loan-124
bike insurance-progressive quote of 42
monthly suburban gas-372, at minimum
monthly bike gas-96 at minimum
1200 dollars a month income, figure 350 every 2 weeks from sears, on the lower side
1201 minimum a month if suburban, 1146 is using sbc
1091 if bike, 1036 if sbc
havent figured up getting down payment for bike yet, i'll do it tomorro probably,

Monthly Money Left Over
Suburban    Sub with SBC   Bike         Bike with SBC
Sep 1   393.07      393.09             227.09        227.09
Oct 1    317.09     372.09              261.09       316.09
Nov 1   241.07      351.09               295.09      405.09
Dec 1   627.79      692.81              450.81      680.81
Jan 1    551.79      671.81              484.81     769.81
Feb 1   475.79      650.81              518.81      858.81
Mar 1   399.79      629.81              552.81      947.81
Apr 1   323.79      608.81              586.81      1036.81
May 1  247.79      587.81              620.81      1125.81
Jun 1   171.79      566.81              654.81      1982.81
750 in savings by Jun 1 from $75 a month being deposited, along with this. for the december months i figured:
food-40
water-15
electric-80
both loans, insurance, rent, cable/sbc stayed the same. this is all figuring that i will spend the bare minimum, no fast food or extra items, no repairs, nothing like that factored in. for the beginning of each month i did my current checking account, plus monthly income bottom end, minus savings deposit, minus bills. for the suburban starting, for the bike subtract the insurance and loan payment to get 227.09. this is also assuming i get towards bottom dollar each paycheck from sears, 350. subtract an extra 50-100 dollars a month from both motorcycle lists for the extra money for fuel in the suburban. obviously i need to drop cable and go to sbc, i figure cable is gonna charge me for this month no matter what, if they dont thats an extra 80 bucks i can use.

this is assuming i keep the suburban for certain, and maybe get the bike. obviouslly i need to change my internet provider to sbc, save me at least 55 bucks a month.

well, i got a possible blessing in disguise. i wont be getting the 06 shadow, but if the loan is approved tomorro i will be getting a 99 shadow 650. now heres the blessing in disguise. my mom doesnt want me to have 2 payments, and her jeep is fully payed off (97) with a 4 banger. she's seriouslly considering trading vehicles with me, and picking up my suburban payment. then, she said i can do whatever i want to with the jeep. keep it and build it, or sell it.

my idea, i'll take the jeep, post it in the paper for around 4 grand, about what its worth. once it sells, hello either 85 runner or cucv, and some extra cash. what do yall think? fix up the jeep or sell it?

jeep wrangler, afraid thats all i know. half doors, manual 5 speed. if i keep it to wheel it DEFINATLY needs better gearing. my girlfriend says she wont ride with me if i get the jeep, and with high gas prices i could probably sell it for about what its worth, maybe more.

i'd have to regear the axles 1st before i put 32"s on it. those 32x11.5x15 bfg at's that i have right now were on this jeep when my mom baught it, but the jeep wouldnt even make 60mph on a flat road. had rubbing issues as well with the wheels turned all the way, stock rims. less backspacing would help that problem, i could put that 44 rear that i have under the back of the wrangler, make it more durable. the jeep has the 4 cylinder in it, and to put it mildly it is truely gutless. i drove my dad's old 88 4runner with a 4cyl and 31" tires and compared to this jeep it was like a sportscar.

it has round headlights. doesnt look bad, and if it had the inline 6 in it i would wheel it pretty good, but even the jeep guys say the 4cyl is a dog. when i was in utah i took both the jeep and my dads 03 2wd prerunner tacoma offroading and there was no comparison, the taco kicked the jeeps butt on the steep inclines, even with the jeep in 4low.

what the heck is wrong with that girl  :screwy:
she doesnt feel safe in it, expecially with the doors off. if i get that runner she said she wont be comfortable until i get a rollcage and front/rear bumpers. she was with me when my nissan got totalled, guess it shook her up alot. funny thing is, in that wreck the only reason my truck was totalled was because the previous owner had made the front end replacement mounts out of 1/16" steel, idiot. ended up causing about 2000 dollars in damage, according to a body shop. the envoy that pulled out infront of me was quoted with over 21,000 dollars in damage, i wonder who won that fight?

if i remember correctly the jeep has 4.56:1 gears, but i'm not positive. i probably wont sell it immediatly, but i'll just have to decide. if you could find out whats messed up with the 4runner, and monday i'm gonna look at an 83 with swampy, since i'm here in san antonio for 2 days. when i get the jeep i'll decide from there. if i can get what its worth than i'll sell it, if not then i'll fix it up.

been looking at some of the prices for the long arm kits for the jeep wranger and holy crap, alot more money than i want to spend to lift it and get better flex. granted jeeps are fun and can be built, but thats alot more than i want to put in it. if i'm going to drop in a different motor i'd prefer to go diesel, but that 4.0 is a good motor, just wish this jeep had it instead of the crappy chrystler 4cyl :yuck:

relax ryan, i wont become a jeep f*g. i started thinkin about it, and i know my mom really likes the jeep and doesnt want to get rid of it. so what i'm kind of thinking is that i slightly build up the jeep. put those 32's on that i have, put that 44 rear under it, about 3.5-4" lift, regear the axles, maybe replace the front axle with one from a wagoneer, or some other front axle that is more reliable. possibly put a better gear set in the t-case. that way, in a couple of years when the suburban is payed off, i can give my mom the jeep back, and have the extra money so i can do the sas on the burb, engine/tranny swap, and a 6" lift.

put a toy tcase and front axle under the jeep  with a 4.0 from a cherokee  or something

OR  get the dana 35 from a cherokee,  bolt in  but stronger than the dana 30 center disconect thats probably on that wrangler  and run a cherokee 4.0

my sister had a sweet little cherokee "country"  had the 4.0 high output  with auto 4wd,  and that thing would flat FLY
