Cash for clunks is just a stimulant for the automakers,  sales go up, sticker price goes up, sure you may get 4500 discount but you just got screwed on the sticker.  My local Toyota dealer (which is owned by the company I work for), sold 500+ vehicles since the clunk program.  They have actually suspended it cause the misgoverment cant write checks fast enough.  They are making money hand over foot, and crap GM is gonna show a profit for the first time since who knows when.  All of GM's profit should go back to pay off Obama's bail out.

The shame of it is we the taxpayer have to pay for it. I work at a toyota dealership and the parking lot is getting full of (so called clunkers). Don't get me wrong some of them are clunkers but some are some good vehicles. Good enough they could sell them to people that can't afford a new car and make some of the money back. But now the goverment is paying us 50$ to drain the oil and run liquid glass in the engine and blow it up. Also the scrape yard has to be one apporved by the goverment.  What I'm afraid of is the goverment will say oop's we can't pay you back. Then the car dealers go under. Since nov we have lost this country we are now a commuist country. I'm just glad I can skin buck, run a trotline, and grow  my smoke and food. off my   now.

All the presidential candidates are a pawn in the game of politics.  I didn't think either candidate was worth a , cause they were both gonna throw a shitload of $$ into the economy to "HELP STIMULATE" the economy.  All its done is put us all deeper into debt, and give all the people that put us in this position, million dollar bonus's!  


I've seen many of the "clunkers" and it breaks my heart to see a good car/truck go to get smashed.  But most of us can't afford to benefit from the program.  I couldn't afford to go pack into having payments on a new rig.
