So finally got confirmations I needed,  all smog removed motor 99% back together when to fire up and nothing, no click nothing. Windshield wipers work. Found no signal wire to engage the starter solenoid,  more the starter relay. Somewhere between me the middle owner this component disappeared,  or I just can't find it and my key contacts are. Originally an 81 hilux if any of you have input on location and what connection in the harness it is. Others wise I might try a push button starter not sure how that would work with the clutch safety?

Any input appreciated,  glad the beast is about to be alive again. Decided to do LC Cam and timing gear after I get DUI distributor after talking to a friend.

Fired the hybrid today,  so excited, this has been years in the making. Got to install my better cam and tourqe the bolt under timing gear, other than fixed all leaks. Need to adjust valves when she gets warm and adjust the weber carb wants to die when I give it gas. Should start moving along faster now with the body swap

this is the wire I was missing to start solenoid, the green and tan plug, also had to connect the ground on this little sub harness and she fired right after a little fuel down the carbs.

Didn't like how the adjustable cam hit mechanical fuel pump lever so ended up wiring carter electric on frame well
Cleaned frame and painted a little as well

Holy windshield price to ship! That'd be a major bummer.

Cool project, the older the better!

That's awesome. Whilst I really like the early Toyota shape, I like the look of what is happening here. Keen to see it all finished and driving

Front body mounts complete minus needing to be drilled.  Reinforced front body to mount better. Good friend who kindly has the space to do the work moved in the middle so on hold till he's settled. Loving the stance so far

Are you planing on making a cage for it.

Planning on exo caging the cab, possible dove tail rear into cage just using bed skins

I hate exo's but I think I may end up going that route to. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. That A pillar is going to be very hard to make look good, it's one of the big reasons I haven't started on my stout cab swap.

Got to protect my $900 windshield so I'll have to figure it out
