Went up on thursday planning on going to coyote, but ended up wasting alot of time and fuel so we headed to mirror instead...

Heres the lake right behind where we camped:

Yea dropping down in wasnt too bad but the climb back up gets pretty hairy in spots...  Had to pin second gear a couple times and bounce my way up a few sections.  I tore off one shock hoop and my other shock lost the bushing end so no front shocks wasnt helping much.  :smack:

Although it was a tough trail it was still a lot of fun i mean its better to have plenty than none at all :)

Looks cool.  What tires are on the runner.  Got a better pic of the tread design?

Christian, you wanna chime in about those tires?  All i know is theyre brand new.

82juguete

Speaking of tires though, this was my first run with these procomp mud terrains and i literally ripped off like 3 or 4 lugs on each tire... anyone had similar problems with these tires???  Kinda pissed cause they went from nearly brand new to worried about them leaking in 1 run!

Joey88RUNR

my buddy has them and hates them....the cheapest and worse trail tire, sidewalls are pretty thin and weak i believe...i would just carry a spare

Mirror Lake is beautiful. We went down there and ran like 5 trails last August for my birthday. That climb is the worst spot in most those trails down there. It was a cake walk compared to the stuff I'm use to though.

Get some new 37" MTRs! They are sooo badass! I saw them in person this weekend.

Kinda has a cool tread design, but definitely a cheap tire.  The "new" MTR's are growing on me.  I'm beginning to like them more.  And because I live in a area that I has mud, they would do better than the old ones for me.

I made an observation after running bald on tuesday... recalling this run to mirror, when we arrived at our camp it was absolutely spotless, you wouldnt have guessed ANYONE had been there.  We left it the same.  Running bald, i saw cans and trash in certain spots and couldnt believe it.  The ledge before the climb up to the tower was stacked with a bunch of rocks and bottles and trash mixed in.  Enough said.  The same jerks stacking a bunch to get up are the ones leaving their trash behind too..  Mirror was a testament.  The rigs capable of making the harder runs carry the drivers with the respect to pack out their  :pokinit: .  Seems like the easier, higher traffic trails yield the idiots contributing to the closing of our trails. anyone else notice a similar trend?  :soapbox:

Slobbermouth

Hey 82juguete,  Is that Jeremy with you on that run ?  Whens he going to get his junk on the trail ?

crwlntoy

Just because they have less capable rigs does not mean they are the ones leaving the trash behind. It's probably more of an upbringing thing and their parents never taught them what respect means. When I was a kid and went on a family camping trip things were always left cleaner than they were found. I still live by that rule wherever I go and my kids do too. When and if I see trash on a trail I will stop and pick it up, always have and always will.
If God didnt want me to eat animals, then why are they made out of meat?Wackum & stackum

GONZO97

The trash was pretty sad to see, i agree. We just all need to try and do our part by keeping the areas we go to cleaner and if we ever observe someone leave trash we need to speak up as well so theyll know that is not ok.
