Hey guys,

Converting my truck to a flatbed and I need suggestions on how to securely mount a receiver hitch. I am interested in trying to mount it somehow using only the frame rails of the truck. My idea was to run some thick square tubing between the frame rails on top of some 1/4 inch plate to spread the load of the receiver. Let me know what you guys think.

and add some bracing to take the stress off the welds from the tube to the frame.
