Duals 4.7 rear install help
« on: Mar 15, 2014, 06:28:16 PM »
I have a 91 runner 3.0 5 speed. I picked up a set of duals, not sure what they came out of. The input shaft is a 21 will this bolt right up after acquiring an adapter plate? Or will I have to get a 23 spline input? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I did some research I have a 1988-1991 EFI R150F 5sp 23 spline 3.83 V6 3.0L Chain driven Forward Shift . The duals I bought came out of a pick up with 22re(21 spline) I will need and just ordered the 23 full spline input from marlin. The rear case does have a 23 spline it's a 4.7 anything else I'm missing? Thanks again

Just get the 3.0 adapter kit, and 23 spline input and your good to go!

yup goldrush is correct!. considered also getting a dual cross member as well to hold up those cases and protect them.
find a drive shaft with a cv to use for the rear when u shorten it, will help with the vibes.
