i was looking to do that to mine, but they dont make a kit for this freakin 3.0

that will be cool with propane, cheaper fuel lol

ya that and i seem to burn through injectors i have gone through 3 sets in this past year.. my truck sat for 8 years with gas in the tank... so i replaced my gas tank and my fuel lines and have a brand new motor and it still blows through them.. i am even running dual fuel filters! propane will solve my problem!

I hope you dont plan on your long hunting trips then unless you have a tank the size of your bed or 2-3 10 gal tanks.
Wayy less places to fill up, thats one thing im not looking forward to.

Are you using those 440cc injectors out of my old manifold?

Are you gonna run the carb or Fi intake?

Halladay

i still plan on doing the long hunting trips but by next years hunting season i will have my full size by then... i opened up a saving accont at the cridit union so i can have some intrest in there so i can take out a truck loan... im hoping to have 90's cummins... but i will be using my EFI intake and no im running some injectors from baxters that say one the box BETTER THAN STOCK! haha who knows though... i have your 440's in my tool box and your old intake.

Propane is so dummmbbb for you to do... just my thought only because your motors dialed now.. it was running like dog :pokinit: for god knows how long and when you finally get it reliable your gonna pane it?? haha i wouldn't just because its a pain to get propane all the time and its already fuel injected but thats just me...

well taxes are still a bit aways maybe he'll reconsider down the line...
if propane is what you want get it!

89sastoyo

thats true haha.. I didnt mean it like its bad because propane is far from a bad thing its just kinda silly in my eyes since he's already injected but it would run cleaner :)

yeah i mean if i was fuel injected i would probably consider doing other things before propane but its your money :)

Halladay

my wiring to my injectors are toast... i was driving hunting 2 nights ago and it started running like dog :pokinit: again... like it was when my 1st and 4th injector was clogged. so i say f it and drive to my spot cause im pissed and hunt and when im done i go back to my truck and pop the hood and the freaking power wire on my first injector was toasted! like fell apart and grounding out... (its from were the shop tryed to fix it to make the 1st and third run together.. 3way connector.) so i pull a trail fix and splice all the power wire were it broke and the wire they had running to the third injector and wired them all together and tape her up and thats how it is right now... i dont understand my fuel injection some time... it always seems to be un-reliable.

you wont need that big of a tank either, it says on the site that a long day of trail riding took like 4 gallons, with 2 of them forklift tanks youd be set. And most people go wheelin in the mountains right? well around here most towns up in the mountains are all heated by propane so it should be pretty available.

why would u need propane if u all ready have EFI?  I understand Halladay's want for it but....
SAS 89 p/u 3.0 5speed, bobbed, locked, ready to play in the rocks. or wherever the pavement ends :)

Its 100 times simpler.

Tank- Line- Fuel Lockoff-Converter-Mixer.
Thats it
No sensors or wiring to wear out/fry, only one from your keyed ignition to the Lockoff.
No more rock anchor fuel tank, although you lose bedspace.

For a newer DD rig I would stick with EFI..
