thanks bro!   don't let those rust spots fool you, they are just surface rust.

started tearing into the rig today.  rear springs and bushings. ran into a little snag... the poly bushings were 1/4 inch bigger around than the eyes in the skyjacker leafs.  called energy suspension to make sure there was only one bushing available (which was the case), and they were saying the problem was with the springs.  so I called skyjacker and got the old no no no no  its the bushings. 

well, rather than getting in a big pissing match, the solution was a trip to the machine shop.  put the bushings on the lathe and took em down, worked like a charm and threw red streamers all over the place.  best part is, i asked the guy if i could take his pic while whe was shaving the bushings.. looks up and flat out says "NO"  ha ha  ...well the dude did it for free so i can't complain    must not like cameras.  tommorow is another day, have to get started on it again before work.

forgot the best part! it fell off the jack stand today!  didn't hurt anything. had 90% of the bolts loosened but not off ...kinda scary though. glad the father-in-law or I was not under it.

yea wasnt cool at all if i had cemented the shop floor already i wouldnt have got out since it was gravel i was able to move some of it a slide out it had me pinned so i couldnt lift it being bear frame it IS pretty light but i was face down with one lef bent at the knee facing away from the frame Sucked big time i will always support better than nessassary from now on

   thanks man!      I work two jobs, one to pay my bills the other to support my truck habit.        the bed turned out 10 times better than i could ever imagine..  my father in law is a wealth of knowledge  painting and wrenching. he helps and guides me alot.  he is always telling me why don't you just keep it stock and just drive it. then i ask him why he won't put an automatic in his hot rods?  he just gives me the look and we start tearing into stuff.  new tranny mount form toyota stealership, center bearing for my 2pc drive shaft, 9500lb rough country winch. wired and wireless remotes! the winch came from a trade the guy wants my old downey springs and my old bed with tailgate.  i bought the winch plate off ebay for like 75 bux with  free shipping.  fits 2" receiver it has handles for carring it also i just did not put them on yet. thinking of buying a set of 25ft jumper cables and cutting the one end off  putting a quick connect on the jumpers and on the winch. I would be able use it on any thing that has 2" receiver. can't wait to try it out pulling logs and my truck around.  gonna   sky off orad monday and order the 1" body lift they have    i think it will help when putting the sliders on.

so hows the paint on the cab? did you already remove the graphics?

the cab is gonna get painted black like the bed after the cab corners and rocker pannels are on. it has replacement front fenders on it so everything is gonna match. no graphics.

looking good buddy, I'll be in willpo may13th-15th, I'll make an appearence at your joint and check her out in person, think up some bumper ideas... and what kinda shape were your old bed sides in??  i wanna make a tube bed, but kinda like the ideas of using the bed skins for street duty, but mine are swiss cheese... lemme know bud
