Dude.   We put new belts on the truck Saturday, and also scored a set of BFG ATs just like I have on my 4runner.  The truck came with some sort of richard cepak tires that were 33x12.50.  The BFGs we put on it on Saturday are 33x10.50... maybe even just 10, not 10.50?  Not sure.

But WOW!  This thing is a whole new truck already!  It actually acts like it has some :moon: and wants to get out of its own way now!  LOL.  I really couldn't believe what a difference that made.  Probably mostly changing the wheels?  Would the belts really help that much?

I was able to pull this big hill on my way to work this morning and stay in 4th gear maintaining a good 45mph speed the whole way up it.
RIP Kyle, we love and miss you man.  :smooch:

:hitit:   you would think that the belts slipping would help with the HP a little cause the engine is not running the accessory. :dunno: but it is running like a top.  Well, hope you have some  cause its time for the  :blah:

Well I had a few days off two weeks ago and had some time to clean up the garage and the shed.  I have had this V6 diff laying around tripping over it for about 3 yrs now, just hangin out in a camo 5 gal bucket.  So I trip over it for the last time if ya know what i'm saying, so I get it out and look for the pinion nut color (cause I was told it was a 4.10) ...no pink.  So curiosity gets the best of me and I get out the paint pens and count the ring gear about 350 times and the pinion about 450 and come up with 41 ring and 9 pinion..... thats a V6 4.56!  I'm lookin for 4.88's but beggers can't be choosers if ya know what i mean, so 4.56's it is!

I :phone: the guy I got the rear diff from and ask if he knows where the front diff is.  He says its under my work bench collecting dust, 100 bux and its mine.  Both diffs look very clean, no metal shavings or shined up spots showing wear or improper set up (I'm no diff guru, but they look good to me).  I have a V6 rear axle laying here complete minus the diff and studs... so new studs and a diff guard are on the way.   Picked up a super sweet Marlin rear bumper and a new CB along the way.  Sold the richard Cepeks.  Lookin for a cheap parts truck with a W56 on local craigslist.

Or I may just go buy stuff for my truck.  I have been lookin at ball joint spacers and rear shackles.  Its going to put the truck up about 1 inch and I am hoping to relax my T bars to try to get a better ride.  But then i'm going to have to get new shocks to go with the spacers and shackles.  I might like the idea of an E fan.. but  the black magic fan is like 300 bones, and for that kinda money I don't believe the hype.  :bull crap:  Same with the money they want for intakes...I call  :bull crap: or am I nuts?  :screwy:

dont be afraid to rev up to 3600-3800 or even 4000 if your going up hill and need to shift

Any guy who takes his woman wheeling enjoys her. A woman who is owned is left at home to cook, clean, and keep beer cold. So if this offends you you should stop looking and go have some tacos.    :rofl2: And a beer. If your old enough.   :beerchug:

Yeah Just ask DTB about the G58.   They only came in xtra cab trucks.  He grenaded the reverse gear in his.  I'd look for a W56 with a good geard t-case attacked to it.

Had a few issues with the truck.  Thought I'd update the thread.  Started out that my temp guage would never go up above 1/4 of the way on the temp guage, thought my thermostat was stuck cuz it seemed to be drinkin some gas, started to investigate a little bit further and found that I needed a new water pump and radiator.  So I replaced those things and got an e-fan, new thermostat, and adjustable temp sensor for the e-fan.

Among the giant list of things to do, I was thinking about painting my truck this summer.  Black is the color Jan likes...mostly because, it's already black.   :gap:

For those of you who haven't read the first couple pages of the thread, this is what my truck looks like black:

I used to have a 94, it was my first Toyota, and I really liked the blue that it was:

And here is Nub's truck, the truck that originally drew me to this site really, and it's that same blue:

The third color option I would consider is a red, like this one, and I even have the same wheels that are on this truck here so this pic gives you a good idea of what it would actually look like:

I also have a lot of red parts and a lot of black parts.  So whatever color the truck is, it's going to have red and black parts on it too.  What's everyone think??    Black, blue  or red?
