Been here a while, snooped around, met some peeps. Finally was convinced to start one of these "build logs". So here it is in all its slowness!  :beerchug:

Specs when bought:
Blue 1985 Toy pickup extra cab, EFI  , automatic  , BROKEN! Stock!
197,000mi from central Az with a new head-gasket at 177k. Lift shackles in the rear, 29in tires and four blown shocks.

Now at 218,000mi it is on 33s with a W56 and duals. Front has some added leafs on old lift mains (from a friend) and the rear has not changed. Four 'new to me' Ranchos from a friend. New seats, from a friend. Help, from friends. This place is nice  :disturbed:.

This summer I have many-a-plan for Jacky but will the money come? We will see. Hey it's me :driving: !

It's me! Yay!

bow, turn, bow...  Thank you... thank you...

My plan is to run 33s and as little lift as I can. The normal, rears front and F150s out back.

It don't flex to good... yet!

and I need to stay out of the mud!  :beerwhack:

Duals. Best mod I've done to date, only real mod I've done to date. I don't count the transmission swap (but equally great).

Any guy who takes his woman wheeling enjoys her. A woman who is owned is left at home to cook, clean, and keep beer cold. So if this offends you you should stop looking and go have some tacos.    :rofl2: And a beer. If your old enough.   :beerchug:

Hey Jerome, truck's looking good!

Boy, you're in trouble when you let Dave use power tools around your rig.  :gap:

But if you distract him with tools you might be able to sneak up on him and.....  :bumpinbutts: .....  :rofl2:

truck looks good!  is that a trail gear front bumper or?
My Build 1986 4runner SAS 36s etc

"Later, I learned that even though I engage 4WD my hubs are not automatically locking? Something about manual locking hubs I think. What's manual mean? I need to read a manual to lock them? lol  So I found these neat autolocking hubs and installed them. Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike

WabFab, I think. It just doesn't have the stinger braces.

Jrock is an easier screen name, jkief86 was my origional just because it was the frist thing I thought of (email). I like short hair. Jacky is my trucks name.  :smooch:

So I noticed. He has to stop letting go!  :beerwhack:  Thanks.

You guys like the massive flex in the first picture?

Duffil

glad to see you using this thing a bit.

jrock

So I'm trying to figure out how to spend the money I don't have  :gap: so I ask you what would be most beneficial...
Aussie in the front or suspension upgrades? (ie. f150s and hybrid stock fronts)

Birfailed

lockers for sure, flexy suspension with open diffs just mean you'll get stuck worse off
Go 1-Ton from the start

Duffil

:imwithstupid:

get an aussie and a 12pack and come over. We can swap it in and I'll gloss over setting up a diff for ya while resetting backlash.

jrock

Tempting.... hmmm, let me see what I can do...

jrock

Okay, aussie in front.
Any links to individual rear brake setups?
