I got them from a guy down the street for $50 new. I don't remember the manufacturer.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Bought this for $25. It consists of a seriously burly motor, a 2 cylinder compressor, a nasty homemade baseplate, and a semi truck tank. I went to the local compressor place and got their  :twocents: on how fast I could spin the compressor, and went from a 2" to 4" shieve on the motor. Adjusted the kick on/off pressures, fixed the leaky fittings and it's a monster. Whisper quiet, sweet recovery time, and pushes enough air to run a die grinder at an acceptable speed constantly. My 26 gallon Husky high speed type compressor died recently. I hated that loud turd ever since I bought it. Slow piston type compressors are the only way to go for me.
Oil less type compressors suck. Give me an old piece of cheese with character.

I've hated my super stiff bump stops on the front ever since I installed them. So, not wanting to purchase expensive aftermarket ones that I am unsure of how stiff the material they are made of is, I cut my bumpstop extensions, made new plates for them and tapped 3 holes in them so I could move the bumps if necessary, and installed 2nd gen 4runner rear bumpstops. They are very soft and like 3 1/2 inches long. I have them tacked in place for testing tomorrow.
We'll see.

Picture isn't good, but it will hit on the U bolt plate towards the inside, not the bolt or nut.
I also leveled it out by lowering the front and raising the rear. I made 4" front and 6" rear shackles. The rear springs have settled quite a bit since I installed them. Now the front and rear shackles sit at about 50 degrees or so.

Giving a stuck Scout a tug
Duals rule in the snow. You can go slow enough to not break traction. I walked through this pretty easy. Backed up a couple times. The Scout ahead of me winched the whole way, but he has lsd's front and rear. Pretty sweet rig with a 4bt swap. The Sammy ahead of me made it after a couple tries. I turned around to pull this one down after he got hopelessly wedged in a rut with open difs.
Good times with nice guys.

Last week I had to smog my 4Runner and didn't do a thing to it figuring I was good. To my amazement it failed. The dyno run at 25mph passed fine, but at idle you are allowed 220ppm and I was at 695ppm. Of course the registration was due the next day. Crestfallen, I went home.
I proceeded to tune the old girl up, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air cleaner, and of course a healthy shot of Seafoam. While putting the Seafoam into the brake booster vac line I noticed raw Seafoam hitting the ground on the passenger side. A clue. Turns out the intake manifold to head gasket was cracked on one cylinder, causing a lean miss at idle. I replaced the upper and lower gaskets, which by the way sucks to do, and she passed with flying colors.
Is it possible this thing really has 282k miles on the motor?

I like how it says the horsepower is 10.2. Sounds about right

I'm so glad they got rid of the dyno here in Oregon.. now they just send a probe up the pipe and let it idle :)

Ya, but the idle is where I failed. I guess it was a good thing I failed cause it showed me a problem. It smoothed the idle up a bunch too. Didn't realize how rough it was till it was right again.
