Ah depends on how you look at it and how he wants it to ride and flex!! Looks like to me he is trying to get max flex out of the leaf suspension!! Cause we all know its way huge angle man!! But don't get me wrong maybe thats how he wants it. Cool cage work though bro!! keep it up.. Don't let the shackle angle get ya down dude... HA HA

alright haha for one I have my shackle angle like that for a reason... if you look at my springs I have them flipped backwards because it had 63s on it and I was to lazy to cut them off and make new hangers and won't buy them so I flipped them around and it puts the axle in the correct spot. I ran the shackle angle like that because I had big shackles to make my pinion angle correct with a good amount of down travel with the springs flipped the other way how they were on the third gen, which meant if I had them less flat and closer to straight up and down my pinion would be aiming at my bed. I also ran it like that because I don't like tall trucks and my springs flipped the way they are now lifted it more than when they were flipped the other way.  Also flop uptravel its for queers. If you can get your truck as low as possible with a limited amount of uptravel and still wheel without pulling tire its a lot more challenging than lifted your truck a bunch and letting the springs work a full amount because you will flop. If none of that makes sense read some more eh? ha

Anyways. I am probably not going to finish the first gen any time soon. Im building an interior caage with my buddy max for his second gen xtracab and then im going to finish my third gen 2wd im putting my toy axles under it and buying some 16s with a 6 lug to run my 42s for the snow. I don't really feel like rocking no windows and no sunroof in the snow.. and I'd never get a passenger that way.

HA HA nice man makes enough sense to me if it works for you i guess!! Its all good man!! Truck will be sick and i'm sure it will perform just fine! NIce and low is the way to go, no more flops bro!! Well get your buddy's cage done and go snow bashing cause its just around the corner yo!!  :rockingout:
