have you ever put that truck on a scale? I'd be curious to see what it weighs, since you build everything out of no less than .250" wall. :headscratch:
:disturbed:

Fongs

79coyotefrg

well today i pulled the rear driveshaft to replace a ujoint,  i used  a good  ujoint cap from 2 different U joints,,  since it was out  i noticed the pinion flange was loose,  so i tightened the nut  about 1/2 a turn,  reinstalled the driveshaft,

about a hour later i had to go to town,  :yikes:   i had  the most HORRIBLE  vibration,   i'm HOPING  that  the problem is in the u joint  but  the vibrations were only bad  during  acceleration or  deceleration   , that makes me think  bad pinion bearing

i'm gonna  pull the shaft tomorrow find  a  u joint  that has  matching caps  and  re try it,

That happened to me once...found out it was the drive shaft bolts vibrating themselves loose.  WAY loose.  Lost one, three hanging by a thread, literally.  Easy fix.

man sorry to see this pic of your truck

Is there anything left of the one that hit you?  Got pics of it?

I can't imagine how much it must have been destroyed to mangle your bars and bumper that much.
