brackets  are 2 inches  inside,  bolts  are  like  3/4  and  no  that one doesnt fit,  no  i dont want it to rattle  and  i dont have a bender  to bend  the  hoop    or the U 

I meant the part the is gonna be welded to. If you can find a crank type winch or something and a pully? I haven't run accross any good freebies like that lately.

im  going to  remove my spare tire  from under the truck  and weld up my reciever hitch, but i need bumper ideas,  i have some  3 inch angle iron, thats  welded up  in a L shape,  thought about  running that from the  channel  sticking out,  along the  bottom edge of the bed  for  some protection

no  no,  i have some ANGLE  iron  i "thought"  about using  for  side protection

ok  i welded  the  reciever  hitch in  and  i got this  "armor"  tacked in place,  what ya think ??

after tacking it on  i realised  i didnt have much protection  for the tail light

i have some 1x1x.180wall  square tube,  i'll use that and triangulate  up  to  the  bracket  above the frame for  strength,

i still need  some  gusseting on the  reciever

That angle dosent really match the sliders. Make it temperary and I will send some tube pices down your way if ya want?

lets see,  i would  have to angle  the support  down  since the  frame back there  is higher

but it would match the sliders better


hey michael  i  located  a  double tube rollbar  like Marlins  but  i might "alter"  it  to a single  so  it doesnt push my tool box back too far 

i wish i had a  side mount box

yea it was kinda  high,  its from a fullsize  i already cut 8 inches  out of  the  width  and 2 inches  off hieght in the pic,  now  another 2  since it was obviously too high
