Quick question regarding the dual case crossmember/skidplates sold by various venders....
I have an 82 that had the L52 transmission with dual case setup and was running an aftermarket (flat) dual case crossmember for 1979-1983, which worked great. Now Im going to be running a W-56 transmission in my 82 (doing 22RE conversion) which is about 6 inches longer and I am wondering if I should modify this crossmember or is there another crossmember that will work without modifications? Will a later model crossmember work?
If I have to modify this one, I know how I will do it, but Im really hoping there is an easier way....any ideas?
