It's never to early to start planning for Colorado's premiere Toyota event - the Colorado 4Runner Jamboree!  Last year's event was very successful and had a great showing of Toyota enthusiasts (probably 30-40 rigs).  We also donated $233 (Addicted Off Road Bumper raffle) to Stay the Trail, a local non-profit off-road organization commented to keeping our trails open.

I think the early August time frame worked out well for most people so I'd like to throw out the dates of July 31 through August 2nd for this years event.  I also think the Buena Vista area seems to be one of the best places to hold an event like the CO4RJ.  We camped in the National Forest area of Fourmile, just east of Buena Vista.  Our campground was huge last year, big enough to hold 50-60 rigs if need be.  I'd like to suggest the same area, anybody have any thoughts or ideas?

We also had some people last year suggest that we have a designated group meeting spot each morning for the runs to make sure everyone gets to join the group they want to run with for that day.

Here's a list of possible trails for the Jambo!

Trails around the BV area
Boulder Mountain
BV Carnage
Chinaman Gulch
Grizzly Lake
Holy Cross
Iron Chest
Minesweeper
Mount Antero
Mount Princeton
Tincup Pass
Wheeler Lake

Nice!  We had a blast last year, good company and tons of nice rigs!!  Most of us run Holy Cross that first day (July 31st) since it's a Friday and usually less traffic than on the weekend.  I'm planning on running Holy Cross Friday, BV Carnage Sat, maybe a night run of Chinamans on Sat, and something on Sunday (Chinamans again??)

I have got a lot of work to do- Hydro assist, i want to lower it a bit,
install 4.7 gears, longfield output and a twinstick,
unpgrade my trans to tcase coupler to 23 spline,
find/install a higher clearance crossmember,
fix the trans leak, and re-route my exhaust .... :outtahere:

And hope to the heavens that my stupid effin cooling issue is resolved ::)

Anyone wanna help?

oh and i want to do DIY beadlocks too but i doubt i will have time to do all of this, I wanna drive it a little bit.

Im down for iron chest, chinamans, maybe carnage(might just watch lol), also holy cross

Nice!  Looks like you do have some work ahead of you.

I also have a ton I want to get done.  I need to build F&R bumpers still, some kind of cage, winch, and clean up my interior.

I finally got my hydro assist system and steering system rebuilt last week.  Feels good to have that done.

My dad and brother bought me the PSC ram for my B-day from a guy in our 4wheeling club that was selling it used.  That's all.  If I was to buy a ram, it would have been from surpluscenter.

That ram you linked should work.  I'm using heims on my ram with is basically the same thing as those swivel eyes.

and i have done zero work on my crap

Same here!!  I really wanted to have some bumpers made and a cage but financially it's not going to happen.  I also planned on painting the 4Runner all one color sometime this spring.  It still might happen but we'll see.  I do have a couple of parts that need to be installed (HD crossmember mount and rear shackle joints).  I also bought a set of cheap 35" tires that will be my street tire to drive to the trailheads.  I will most likely pull a small utitly trailer with my 40's in it and just change wheels/tires at the trailhead.

I thought my 22RE would have enough juice to push those big tires around, it doesn't.  I had 3 adults and 1 small kid in the 4Runner on my trip to Eagle Rock.  I had to put the front case in low to drive it down the street and up Gold Camp road to get to Eagle Rock.  I need a supercharged 5VZ :)

Aaron,
if you pay for the tubing, we'll build you a cage at the shop one weekend. I can order the tubing at my pricing. 100ft of HREW will run around $2.15/ft. DOM will run around $3.50/ft. Figure $250 will do it all.

Call it my donation to the Volcom cause............

You need a damn cage in that thing. The roof ain't gonna stop squat from smashing you to death. You don't even have the stock bar in it anymore.

854RUN

HOLY CRAP :yikes:, Aaron if you dont take Scotty up on that i will have to smack you in Aug lol

Well, I usually work weekends, but as it turns out, I have the 31st and 1st off!  So, I think I'll try to come for those days!  I ran Chinamans for the first time a couple weeks ago and loved it!

Nice!!! We're running Holy Cross on Friday the 31st and all kinds of different trails on Sat. the 1st.  I'll be running BV Carnage on the 1st but I know there will be several other groups running that day.  Glad to see you can make it.  Bring your buddy PhazerTwo with you.
