Hi all I am new to the Marlin Forum but not to yotas. I hail from Western Washington  Shelton Washington which is in Mason County. All logging rds and Muddy trails. Not much rock here but fun to climb on.  I have a 80 yota that is all stock right now just picked it up for $600 all it needed was an ignitor box. Got one on and drove it home. It had been sitting for over 8 months and fired right up. I have plans for my truck to keep it street legal but trail ready.   More for trail than street just want to be able to get to the trails without Johnny law getting in the way. They are pretty leanant around here unless your known to be a tweaker or somthing.  The roads and trails around here are all on private logging land and they used to not care but now with all the A holes dumping garbage and the tweakers cooking meth more and more gates are going up. That dosent deture the wheelers though we find a line and get through. The reason we do this here is because they don't care about motorcycles and wheelers just people dumping garbage, stealling brush or wood,  and cooking meth. i know this because I know people in the industry.  In fact I have been caught before and they just made sure i was doing what I said I was and then left, The wheeling community goes out and Picks up the garbage and cleans up the trails ( I am not saying that all the wheelers are doing the right thing but most of us here want to use the trails without running into garbage.).  Also there is no public grounds to wheel on for a couple hundred miles in any direction and no one is going to go that far for a couple hrs of wheeling. Plus who wants to wheel with a bunch of people you don't know, waiting in line for a trail is rediculus. If we see another person out wheeling that we don't know we go somewhere else, its just the way it is here in Mason County and western washington in general. Also they open almost all of the gates during hunting season which is great because its right at the begining of the mud season.

Well my plans are for a 20/22R hybred motor 4in  :turtle: springs 34 or 35 TSLs  dual cases with 4.7s in the rear. exocage bobbed bed and lots of lights, night wheeling is big around here, safer to be out there when there arn't logging trucks on the roads or falling trees.well it will take me awhile to get there but I am starting with a spool locker I have from a different project and getting a winch bumper for the 6K warn winch I have.

80 yota stock 4 now.   Future plans, alot of Marlin Products and a lot of work.

I hail from Tillamook, OR!

As for the going around the gates, we don't do that.  Here is a post to read and see why. http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=53899.0
We obey all the rules and regulations when off-road.  As we want to keep what trails we have, open!  So, by doing the right thing, we try to keep the greenies at bay!  So, you might want to edit your first post!  :yesnod:
