Here is some tech for you.

I used some balled up aluminum to see how much room I had between the engine crossmember and the hood when closed. You place the aluminum foil on top of where you might have contact. When you close the hood the aluminum gets smashed down. When you pop the hood open you are able to see exactly how much gap there is. Mine was fine so I welded up up.

Have not done too much lately. I did pick up some solid end caps from Ballistic to weld on to the ends of my front bumper. Good price on their stuff.

Not much this weekend. Plated the front upper bracket for the lower links. Also painted the links

Painted the front links and front axle. I was going to clear coat the front links, but just went for flat black. Much easier to touch up.

The old motor mount brackets were cracked so I made up some new ones to hold the 4.3 Vortec. The Downey adapter brackets I had for the last 6 years where kind of cheesy anyway.

I like your mounts, and downey's brackets are way cheesy. I still have mine in there.......
Thought about doing the bushing thing but I'm liking yours alot.
