You can also us an 85' rear too. 86' is when they changed it. let me know if you need help this weekend, I'll be there.

Thanks for the offer. I will let you know. I am hell bent on making it to MCR8 so I decided to weld the cracks on the axle. Failure is not an option.

My goal was to have the rear links done by Thursday night so I could measure for drive shaft lengths. By 11:30 pm I was done. Long day. What is cool about the link set up is that there is only 1" of difference in drive shaft length from full compression to full droop. Friday morning I am headed to to Coast Driveshafts and hopefully I will get them back by the end of the day.

Working late into the night to get it done. Neighbors must love me.

:phone: Hello Police.. My neighbor is making a lot of noise next door. There is alot of banging, grinding, sparks going everywhere and the night is lit up from welding flash. Can you please come over and shut this guy down?

I did not get the truck done in time for MCR8 unfortunately. Here is the latest.

Installed Sky's rear disk brake kit. I just plasma cut the backing plate off as I really did not feel like pressing the bearing off. It was way simpler than I thought it would be.

When insatlling the caliper brackets I would recommend using some locktite on the threads as the hardware they give you is bearly long enough for the nylock to engage on the threads. Overall a nice kit.

This is were my rear cage work stands for now. I got enough done to give it a basic set up. I will add more tubing later to include a spare tire holder and more bracing.

Made a tray to hold tool box and other stuff. Used some 3x4x3/8 angle iron to attach perforated grid. The angle iron will also be used to support a center bump stop.

Painted the front links and front axle. I was going to clear coat the front links, but just went for flat black. Much easier to touch up.

on the bottom pic did you have a problem with that housing warping on you at all, or did you even check that?
