Flatter... Almost to the frame on compression.  Lower ride height, more downtravel, smoother ride...  What's the reasoning behind having a practically vertical shackle?
aye..I wasnt sure exactly what you were doing! Seems like you have it under control...that was just an example of a good starting point.... :gap:

Got some good work done on it this weekend.  I'm definitely wiped out though.
Getting an idea of how far I have to move my box forward... doesn't look fun.

Burned in the front hanger.

Steering box out.

Frame plates on... total pain to do.  I had to clearance the core support mount, and I had to cut the heck out of my core support so the box would slide in.  Figures with my luck the sawzall was broken, so I used the plasma cutter to do it all.

Had to fab up some motor mount plates.  I guess some are supposed to come with the SAS kit, but I didn't get any.

New motor for the hi-pinion e-locker.  Still have to get a skidplate for it and all the wiring I'll need.

And the steering.  Painted the mount, box is in and all hooked up.

What about the steering shaft? Did you extend it?

Axle is hung again.  But for good this time.  All that's left is brake line brackets, shock hoops, and bumpstops.

I also got my elocker skidplate for the front on, and I'm working on getting the wiring and switches from 12voltguy.

Another update.  I worked on the rear suspension last night.
Here it is before I dug in.

37's drooped out on stock springs.

On it's own weight.  They clear by like 1/8" on the front and barely touch on the rear, enough to where I can still roll the truck back and forth.

Alright now the fun.  Shocks off, brake line off, e-brake off, proportioning valve off, driveshaft off, u-bolts off.  Truck up.

Springs off, exhaust cut, check.

New spring hangers on.

Murdered out.

New Marlin 5" rears hung.  I put them in the stock shackle hanger because it was super late and its an easy fix later.

Here is the axle bolted up, e-brake hooked up, brake line connected, proportioning valve dangling.  This is a temporary axle until I get my elocker axle out of the formula toy.

Finally back on all fours.

3AM.

Yep, little bit better now.  It's a weight off my mind.  They still have zero miles on them so I'm expecting a little more.

Adjusted the preload on my wheel bearings today and did the brakes.  Got to drive it again finally.  No shakes or anything.  Pretty stoked.

I dig man, Hey a quick ? for ya. I did about the same lift on my runner and my e-brake cable is hella short. How did you get the OE e-brake thing to work. Is your cable just long enough or did you have to modify something??

Thanks bro

It all barely bolts up.  When I first went to connect it, it looked hell of too short to work.  I had to take one of the bolts off that holds the cable in place.  It's the first one you can see between your gas tank and the frame rail.  It took a gear wrench and a little patience to get it out, but it does give you a little more slack to work with.  The first couple times I'd pull my e-brake and let it off, the light on the dash would stay on.  That problem went away after the first couple pulls.  My current concern is that there will be no way to hook up the e-brake to the brake drums when I swap in my elocker axle housing with rotated perches, as the spring packs will block the cables.

I just put on this temporary turn signal holder, so now there is one less reason for Johnny Law to pull me over.  I still haven't gotten around to getting my Marlin bumpers powdercoated.

Some paint on my new elocker rear axle, sans perches and hard lines for my brakes.

And yesterday I got this housing trussed up to replace the axle I took out of our Formula Toy.

My switch panel from 12voltguy should be here any day now as well.  Here is a picture of it from his current pirate4x4 giveaway thread.

you can just extend the little arm the e-brake cable attaches to on the brake so that the cable goes over or under the spring

Yep just extend the bracket, did it with mine.  Also transfer the ebrake pivot braket over,to the elocker rear, I did this with mine and it works great.  I also reused the stock elocker axle hard brake lines, no problem.  Truck looks great.
