A liquid is only compressable by a 1/2 of a percent, whereas (WTF I must be getting old-whereas????) anyway...air is infinately compressable.  What happens inside the combustion chamber when you get too much mist and condensation?  Bent connecting rod.  Am I correct?  How do you regulate the mist?

well you can't compress water at all (or so my teacther told me) butt the thing to keep in mind is that the mist will evperate  (i know, spelling) before it goes into the CC. by then it will be a gas.

But how about adding this injection after the intercooler

But under boost and then 8 or 9:1 compression, does it get compressed enough to make water?  Thats why air compressors have drains on them.  They are compressing water vapor into a liquid and it condensates in the tank.  I guess if it was regulated enough, a little couldn't hurt if it helps.  Does this work on non turbo/supercharged cars?

Condensaion is the same where ever it happens, in a tank or on your coke cup. and it for the same resons. and it involves COOLING. won't find that in any CC. now, you can compress most any gas (steam is a gas) into a liquied. but I THINK it takes a lot more presser than your find in a car motor.
I could be wrong tho, heck I'm just a brainlessfool    :smack:

P.S.  the amount of water/alco. used in this is  (i belive) less than the amount of fuel used    :psss:

This is how I understand this.   You pump a litle mist of cold water in, just before the turbo.   In the turbo (my pyrometer shows 200-700°c)  The mist turns to steam. That actually cools down the turbo = the air going trhroug the turbo. causing the engine to cool down.

allowing you to pump more bost out of the turbo = more air + more fuel + better ignition = More hp

This is just how I am imaging it working correct me if I am wrong (I am not one of those smart people)

well it's not for "eng cooling"  it's to cool the air charge as it inters the manifold. cold air is more dence than hot air. there for more ox in the mix and more fuel too. MORE makes more HP.
also it slows down the burning of the mix in the CC. so less knocking too.

I is a fart smeller  :psss:

Bazzi,
The "compressed" air is cooled with the mist. This happens after the turbo or supercharger because when the air is compressed it heats up. So when the hot air exits the compressor, the mist is added to the compressed air and cools it down which make more hp. The amount of water/alcohol is very minimal. Water when turned into steam expands something like 1600 times. The more water droplets the more surface area to absorb heat.
Hope that helps.

ok so it would be ok to add this stuff after the intercooler.... I am looking for something in my truck that I can turn on with a button .... (to cool down the engine.)   to use when I am facing extreme tuff conditiuns.... there is nothing as anoiing as having to stop the truck to cool it down when you are almost there.

I was thinking about an extra fan on the intercooler. or propane injection or something like that  but If this stuff can help cooling my engine and add more hp this would be nice  (I am running a diesel engine)

Hey Bazzi, if you want to cool the eng, just use a W. washer bottle and pump . put the nossles in front of the rad. so when you trun it on the water will pump onto the rad! simple as that!

I don't think that the water/alc injections is going to help you out. It is cooling the air that enters your engine, it's not going to help your cooling system. This is all about horse power and doesn't have much of anything to do with your cooling system. If you are having cooling probs, try brainless's trick, it works pretty good if your problem isn't too bad. If you are running hot a lot of the time you should look at upgrading your radiator, fan, etc.
The squirter idea in front of the radiator is a quick and cheap trick.

Hey Mike, are you done denting up your ol mans truck. Where are the updates on the rig?
Come on.......it's time to get back to work!!!!!
