You saw that in New Mexico?  I wonder where they imported that from...my guess is Japan from the funny lettering on the side.  That thing is freaking sweet!

I doubt it.  Canadian vehicles are left hand drive like ours.  It may been imported to Canada or Mexico and then brought over the border though.  From what I here, it is really difficult to import a foreign vehicle and it is easier when you deal with a company that does it all the time instead of trying to do it yourself.

This is the latest Generation Hilux, the one pictured is from Indonesia. Has a diesel but apparently word on the street is its kind of gutless.

That just won a $100 bet for me!!  I told my buddy that they made a 1st gen double cab but not in the U.S.  He is still arguing that it's custom made or photo shopped but he knows he lost.

I don't think those pics are photoshopped.  The background, interior of the truck and shadows all look like it was a untouched photo.

I know its not fake but I could never come up with a good enough pic.  He still wont admit he is wrong.  I looked up import/export companies and called a couple in my area.  Most want to export from U.S. to other countries and all said there is an age limit on whole vehicles coming to the U.S.  Gotta find a way to get a roling cab and bed here.

Yup. Its not just Toyotas either, all around the world other truck companies like Nissan produced a ton of double cab trucks. For some reason the US market didn't seem to need them according to Toyota, Nissan, etc. Same with the solid axle. We lost it in 85 in the trucks and 4runners,  but everywhere else got them until 98.

I need to read a manual to lock them? lol  So I found these neat autolocking hubs and installed them. Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike

I've heard it's easy to get used to.  I've ridden in the left front seat of a JDM Nissan Skyline as a passenger once and it was weird.  I did get some looks though since my hands weren't on a steering wheel.
