I would soil myself, if she appeared on my list...but...if you have those leanings, would you think it was bad? Do stupid people know they are stupid?

I thing the questionnaire wasn't a good representation of our thoughts and feelings!   There is another poll out there that has alot more ?'s!  I'll try to find it!  I took several different ?'s, and they all gave different answers, but they all shared Obama!

It really doesn't matter who we vote in today, not like 20+ years ago.  They are all pawns in the game of being the president!  Look at G W Bush.  All his financial backing supporters are all raking in BILLIONS from the war in Iraq.  They are just figure heads anymore, it has been years since we had a "DECENT" pres.  I liked Bill, he did alot of good things, just got caught with his fly down!  The nation was sitting good, deficit was shrinking, the economy was strong, and jobs were good.  Carter was the last good honest pres that was for the nation, but he got shafted due to the oil embargo and other things that screwed up the nation, and Reagan got all the credit for all the things he implemented!

Even if Hillary or Obama "were" very good candidates, do you think the nation would be ready for a female or a african/american pres?  No, they won't even get past the primaries!  (I might be wrong on this :dunno:)  Too many racist and old way of thinking in this nation today!  I feel that the nation isn't ready for either of those two choices!  I really wish all the voters would make their own educated decisions when it comes to vote.  Too many people make group decisions!  (my step mom is this way, she votes for who the congregations supports, not who the best candidate is!)

I plan on spending a little time in the next few months to really read into the candidates backgrounds and what they represent!  Just too many players on the field right now that haven't been weeded out yet!

I don't intend to ruffle feathers with what is above!  I'm just voicing my concerns, and opinions!

I think most people vote based upon a few of the issues that concern them the most and not necessarily the candidate as a whole.  For instance, there is not a single candidate running that shares my views on everything but I narrow them down to the few things I am most passionate about.

Since this is an off road oriented forum I would think that everyone here should share my passion with being able to use and explore the millions of acres of land we have in this country without restrictions (within reason).  I would sugged you do research on which candidate(s) shares that feeling.  If you are unable to find this info all you have to do is look at the organizations who are trying to close all of our land usage and access and find out who they support, then don't vote for that person.

See it's easy :usa:

Here is just a small amount of information I was able to find.  Below is a 2007 list of the top environmental political contributions by dollar amount and it shows the percentage to which party they donated to.

The other list is the top recipients by candidate of contributions from environmental groups.

I don't know if all of these groups are directly involved in advocacy to close orv areas or not but the top contributer, the Sierra Club is a major player in trying to close forests to off road vehicles.  here is a link to their petition.

https://secure2.convio.net/sierra/site/Advocacy?cmd=display&page=UserAction&id=452

You could probably spend some time looking up some of the groups filing lawsuits to close lands across the country and discover that they are linked to some of the groups on this list.

I too vote for the candidates who support what I believe, and am concerned about.  I may not agree with everything, but if they match up to a lot of my ideals, I've got a good idea who I'm going to vote for.
