Got the rear shocks installed with the skys hoop. And cutout some room for the steering box. got my steering box mounted.. Cut some holes in the frame and tacked in the tubes.

Then used my plates from skys to mount the box. I managed to get it tacked into place but ran out of wire lol.

Today was a stupid day, I dropped the grinder and let it casually walk up my thigh, so needless to say my leg hurts like a SOB. Spray a huge amount of brake cleaner in my eye and welded without gloves so my hands got burns everywhere lol.

Moved a car out of the shop and got a side pic

I got a free never used warn winch just need to drive 5 hours to get it.

Looking good. Suck running out of wire. Did that quite a few times that I got to the point that I make sure that I have at least one extra roll at all times. Oh also sucks about the legs and the brake fluid in the eyes. Welding without gloves :headshake: hope you learned this time :cheese:

BTW, that winch won't do you any good so when you get it you can just send to my house and I dispose of it for you.

It always seems to happen at the worst times, even when you have a spare roll it still sucks!

So got the shocks mounted, steering box works and is hooked up. Got the driveshaft and fuel tank installed and it runs! Still need to finish brakes to drive it though.

Yep bobbin the bed is in order!

Got everything buttoned up today.
Started finishing the brakes. Driver side hard line was stripped so I had to bend up a new one, Luckily I have some brake line bending experiences from my rc crawler so I was able to do it fairly quickly and molded right along side the wheel well.

Then it was just a matter of hooking up my TG extension lines and bleeding em

Was going to finish welding the front x-member but I was stupid and only bought one round of wire... Buying 2 tomorrow lol.

Going to tighten up the remaining bolts tomorrow, make some leaf clamps, clean my revealed services and hit them with some primer and it'll leave the garage under its own power tomorrow.

Still need to powerwash the under carriage and finish repaint all that. Get front D line, exhuast and header install, Sliders, bumpers, bob bed and offset rims and it'll be pretty much complete.

Well I drove it out of the shop but ran into a snag. When the truck is in Neutral I can turn the tires no problem without anything making noise. Once I put it in gear and try steering it starts making a whining noise. I can't figure it out.

And I guess I can't bleed brakes because my pedal is softer then shat!

Do you have an idea where the whining noise is coming from? Could be the PS pump is bad or just low on fluid.
How did you bleed the brakes and in what order? Order should be left rear, right rear, right front, left front.

Also maybe check your brake booster pump. Step on the brakes with the engine off and hold them. Turn on the engine and the pedal should sink around an inch. If it doesnt then your booster isnt working. Check the vacuum supply from the engine. If its good then its the booster.

With the help two fellow wheelers we got the steering pump fixed, just got foamed out but once it settled i was able to finish topping it off with fluid. Perfecto! Then bled the breaks and even the clutch too!

Drove it and it works awesome! Here's some pics, yes its snowing again lol.

Truck for sure needs a bath, trying to get some wheel spacers (rims later) and front driveshaft is in the mail.

Still need to get my exhuast and header installed, sliders, and bumpers. Its finally coming together. I'm like a kid in a candy store right now.
