Anyone else having avatar trouble?

OK folks, I'm just trying to get a broader opinion here.  I was having a problem where, when I go to my Profile, then Forum Profile Information, I no longer had the option to pick an avatar or upload my own.  The mods were able to do some tweaking and I now am able to pick a stock avatar from the list, but I still don't have the option to Browse for my own. 

I had been ruling out browser issues because I could log out and log right in as Brian on the same computer and he had the regular full options, so I figured it was an issue with my profile.  But now this morning, I am seeing that Brian no longer has the Browse option either.

Can you all go into your Forum Profile Information and see what all you have for avatar option?  I think it's call Personalized Picture.  Here's a screenshot of what I'm currently seeing.

Wow.  Interesting. 

I've tried it on all 3 computers I use and I get the same thing on all of them.  Two are using XP Professional with IE7 as the browser, and the third is running XP Media Edition with IE6 with SP2.

Ohhh welllll.....It's not a huge deal I guess.  But if anyone else does notice they are having the same problem, let me know so I know I'm not just crazy.  :willynilly:

I had that problem. My avatar went away last weekend so I changed it to what I have now. I thought the moderators removed it  :dunno:

Thanks for the info!  Looks like you picked a "stock" avatar from the list this time.  Do you have the option to browse for one on your computer?

The good news is, I just had MWM log in as me so she could test it out on her computer since we know she sees hers correctly, and she's seeing the same thing I am.

I'm missing the "I have my own picture" and the "I will upload my own picture" parts.

 :attention:  Hey folks!!  Update!!  This issue appears to be FIXED!   :cheer:


The admins were doing some tweaking and I don't think all went as planned, and that's why the option started disappearing for people where it shouldn't have.  But apparently the new rule is, you have to have at least 12 posts in order to be able to browse for your own avatar.  Everyone with 12+ posts should now have the option back.    :yesnod:

i have the option but for some reason it still wont upload my pic... am i doin something wrong i just hit browse, then select my pic then press change profile???? some advice would be great....
