Yeah with my single case and 4.0s and my high range was still stock. just the low range was super low.

But Your Stuck With That Single Low Range As Opposed To The Large Range Of Gear Selection With Duals.

The gears take place of the low range gears and the high range is still 1 to 1.
You're right,I don't know what I was thinking.

Don't get me wrong guys, I'm not saying single case with gears is better. I found out with driving the Ho-Runner it is great to go into just stock low range when you don't need double low and hi is not low enough. Just that it would be cheaper off the bat with just a set of gears and it will wheel fine. Cause you don't need driveshaft work, skid plate, doubler and a second case. Granted he needs DS work anyway, and needs and tranny a t-case he might as well go duals first. Its hard to say, cause if he changes the drivetrain, that will lower the t-case a little and the rear shaft would IMO be fine. Regardless he has to get the front shaft made. If he is low on funds I would go gears 1st cause that would save him some money. Thats the only reason I was telling him about a single case with gears.

DUALS
MC-14100, MC07, 21 Spline Kit, $369
Another case                         $100 to $150
DS work F & R                        $200 to $500, depending on what kinda shafts he gets, HD or OEM material
MC-15101, BudBuilt BudLite Crossmember, 1984-1995 4cyl, $249
Single
MC-14003, TS™ 4.70 Gear Set, 21 spline, $399
And fronst DS work                               $200?

Max, get the tranny and t-case from Jason and then hit this add up and see if the guy still has it. Then you need just the doubler adpt. :beerchug:

If it is a top shift t-case, it is the right one. You'll need besides the adpt would be some rtv, T-case mount, skid plate and rear drive shaft work (so it can be balanced cause it is a daily driver) we can build the front. And a shifter boot to cover the new hole. That should be it.

If I missed anything people, let me know

  Fixed it for you!

You will love the dual case setup. One piece of advice...get the 4.7 gearset. Even if you have to wait a little longer. That way you can do it all in one shot.

`87 runner....it was stock....now sas'd, 37's, duals, geared/ locked, 10in bob, half doors, rock lights. etc., etc.,.........coming soon a 3.4 swap!!!

Right on, is there a shifter on top of it? If so, then its a top shift  :beerchug: Jason is moving this weekend up to Hesperia. So I don't know when he will be back on the board again. Has to get his stuff hooked for the net....

how much do trannys and the forward shift usually go for?

Thats up to you, 07 is just the normal adpt and the R10 is the one that is clocked 10 degrees up. I would just get the MC07

Just thinking about it, you might want to get a new clutch while you do the swap  :twocents: I know more money, but the tranny Jason has I think doesn't have it and yours won't work  :headscratch: I think. Your probley do for one anyway
