yeah it has a miss and some new krawler t/a's can't figure it out .anybody have a miss at 3 to 4 grand.
already changed fuel filter dist. & computer can't figure it out no trouble codes .worst is every time i fix something it goes away then comes back. plus it only happens under load while driving and never
happens at altitude .                       sweet!!!
should have some pics up soon post build thread.

:headscratch: Uuuh,I don't think he was asking if anything was new on YOUR Runner  :shake: ,he was asking about HIS  :shake:                          :slap:

from the pics it looked like the grinding was almost done for the front. what do i know i havent done this before.
oh and peps probably knows if they are 1.5" longer.
But you can't see whats on the other side of the frame. There is alot more on the inside to get rid of than out side.  :_oops:

I thought it was the Marlin kit cause the hanger looks like thiers not All Pro's. And in thier directions it says if the springs are the 1.5 inch longer springs the hanger has to be a certain way. I am gona give you a call today Peps  :beerchug:

now i know.

i don't think it's a inch and half longer it's a inch and half forward and you need to do it. you don't
have to but your tire is going to end up in your wheel well. but thats marlins kit not sure about
all pro but i would think they would be the same.

Loosekannon

This is quoted from Marlin's instruction on installing the SAS kit

The front spring hanger can be mounted two ways. When using our 1.5" longer than stock springs we recommend mounting the hanger with it's spring mounts in the forward position as shown in the photo.  Using a floor jack, place the hanger under the frame with the leading edge of the hanger flush with the front of the frame. Center the hanger left to right. Weld the spring hanger in place. Weld provided frame gussets between the front hanger and frame as shown below.

Thats why I was asking cause I didn't know which kit he had bought.

atoyot

did you get the hangers mounted yet?

atoyot

Loosekannon

:headscratch: wait you were asking Loosekannon right  :gap:
:dunno: you and dizzydevil were also working on my truck right? so you guys got the holes, frame tubes mounted and hanger on in the afternoon? i remember reading one of your guy's post and it said that one of you had no money so you get your fix working on chase's stuff or something like that. but if you guys got nothing to do just dont put my axle together cuz i want to help with that next saturday.( i took it apart and i also want to put it back together with some guidance so i can learn some stuff .) and i'll make sure theres some  cuz i owe you guys big time for helping me with my install :beerchug:
i also wanted to ask what size tires you got

Tool Pimp

when I left on sat. the IFS was out and what was left of the brackets were mostly ground off, I dont know if anything else was done this week. as far as the axle Im sure Chase will wait 4-u.
My yellow truck is running 38" swampers, 3" lift springs and some fender cutting, and the cruiser is running 35" swampers
Dizzydevils truck is running 36" Irocs

Loosekannon

Before you come up next week the tubes, hanger and hopefully steering box brace will be in. Then we can hit the axle up on Saturday and get the Diff guard, ball gussets and upper gusset on and hang it. OOOhhh and the bump stops. Getting about 3 hours in the evening with the grinding. It has to be perfect for me  :yesnod: Can't half ass it, ask the other guys, they think I'm nuts  :screwy: But Dizzy and Tool Pimp come over on the weekends when they can. But lucky for me  ::) I have to tend to my DD on Sunday and f  :lipsrsealed: k with the clutch.  :hammerhead:

Your truck has 4" springs in the front and 3" in the rear with 2.5" shackles in the rear.

how long would swampers last me as a dd? my original plan was getting 36 tsl, but peps recommended the mtrs for a dd. the swampers are cheaper, but how much mileage less does it get than the mtrs on average. im trying to get my wheels and tires so i can bring it up on saturday to see how everything would look on the front end but i cant  :headscratch: decide what to get :dunno:. i need some :help:.
whats the earliest i can come up there to start working on my 4unner on saturday?

dizzydevil

if your gonna go with mostly dd i would go with the MTR's or maybe the new BFG mt (they are similar to the krawlers just less aggressive) i have only heard of 1 person on the board with them (rockhound) but he likes them. If it will be mainly on road don't go with swamper's, they last significantly less!

oh and by the by i have around a 4" lift with 36" irocs but they never see the street
