I don't like VISTA!!!!! I don't blame them, but then again, if Microsoft would keep XP and just upgrade it a little bit, keeping it user friendly, then people wouldn't have such problems with it.

Idunno if that made much sense.... I just don't like the drastic changes and
I say keep it looking the same, just make improvements along the way

It takes a little getting used to but I'm likin' vista pretty good. I think it's cool for the most part.

I don't see much of a difference in Vista over XP, there are some things that have changed or evolved but it works just about the same. Funny thing I always hear though, "I hate Microsoft", but then why does everyone get Microsoft?

I still run it because of compatibility with ANYTHING I could ever want to run, and I am too unfamiliar with Linux.  Honestly, I don't think I would hate them as much if their products weren't so damned overpriced.  Not saying I would go entirely back to MS, but it would make me want their OS more.  My opinion is that they are gonna sell how many million copies of it, so why should it cost $200?  They could sell it for 40 bucks a copy and still come out on top.  Yeah, you can get a basic copy of vista online for 63.99, but WTF...why is the complete version 180?

reguardless of wheather or not Microsofts operating system tanks.. there will be some other version of the same thing out there. I deal with computers nearly every day and the ratio of XP/Vista machines I see compared to Apple or linux is atleast a 20 to 1 ratio. Soo.. whats STILL saturating the market here?

The reason for it?     people are computer ILLITERATE and will NEVER learn to use an operating system that requires brain useage. They want it to do anything and everything for them at a single click... whats gonna give them this?   Microsoft windows or something similar.

I agree though, i'm not impressed with windows new Vista OS at all.. and am currently running XP home edition.. I refuse to use Vista until I have no other choice.

I like XP media center version.  My step mom has vista, and I don't see much difference except the annoying pop-up, "Do ya ...!"   I just got a copy of Windows XP Pro from a buddy.     One that doesn't need to be registered!  8)
