« on: May 08, 2007, 07:12:32 PM »
I have an 86 toyota pu 22re automatic transmission.  My buddy has a 94 jeep yj that he is parting out.  Does anyone know if i would be able to use the the 5 speed and front and rear axles in my yota?

you can do anything

might take more time/money/effort than using yota parts, but it is possible

I'd recommend doing some serious reading about solid axle swaps,  search SAS here, pirate4x4.com and yotatech.com

I personally wouldn't run Jeep axles. Toyota axles are way strong than the D30/D35 axles.

yea toyota axles all the way jeep axles are way weaker and no you dont want his 5 speed either (wouldnt fit) get a junkyard toyota axle with the same gears and they sell a IFS eliminator kit to where all you gotta do is  tear some crap off
and then weld
