Since this new forum software is still under development by its publishers there might be a few bugs lurking around. So if you happen to notice something that is not working correctly, please post it here and I will see about fixing it.

When I click on the links for pictures it says something about not being able to download pictures from this board.

Ok I figured out that certain member groups could not view or attach attachments, so I have provided the neccessary permissions.

I know this sounds nit picky, but the general truck section always indicates that there are new posts.  Another thing is I havent figured out how to post pics with the new format yet.  Is there a trick to it or am I just dumb  Thanx

That is most likely because their are new posts in the Tech Guides section which is a sub-board of the General Truck Discussion board. Either select "Mark As Read" on the front page or go into the tech guide section and read those new posts.

At the bottom of the post page, just above the Post and Preview buttons, there is a link that says "Additional Options". Click on that and it will automatically pop open a section with more options including attaching one or two pictures.

Hey your only dumb if you dont ask questions (the dumb person is the one who does not ask)

So your saying Im gonna have to stay logged for days on end huh?  Id like to but I have work to do   Hopefully shawnb's high steer will arrive tomorrow from Marlins ;0  Oh yea I have read every new post in that section it still wont go away.  Not a big deal I guess just apet peave of mine.  I gotta have something to complain about this place is looking good and becoming WAY popular!  Usually at most you would see 5-10 guests at most Ive seen it up to 29 today, not bad at all.

I've also noticed that more people are showing up throughout the day. Also our bandwidth and hits are wwaayy up. I'm sure this is mainly due to the amazing work Chris Geiger is doing with the main webpage!

What was happening is SMF has a feature "Break up words with more letters than *" which will divide single lines after a given number of characters. I had it set to 20 because I figured their shouldn't be a word larger then that, but I didnt consider codes or, in this case, image locations on the net. So I've uped the number to 100..

The first one points to: http://www.rivercityrockcrawlers.com/TechReports/MoPower/engine/moengine_sm.jpg which is a 404 not found.

I actually had three different versions of the forum up at the same time in different locations (unknown to the public of course). I was testing the update feature, or trying a fresh install, or doing the upgrade method. Everything worked well with the upgrade method, no errors that I could find so I make the change.

Its been smooth sailing ever since-

Fixed premissions for all users that can now, past a predefined post count, take or give points to other board members.

Cool deal. Just becareful that the Smiley feature is not finished yet and doesnt work correctly. Im having a hell of a time adding new smileys right now.

I think you wont mind the sacrafices for the improved board. Also soon new mods will be available and installing new mods (or packages) is now a sinch through the admin section. Check it out-

WT, I had that same problem and I went into the Tech Guide  and clicked on read all.  This cleared out the new post problem.

Well hoorah!  That worked.  Now I see the problem I am used to looking for something lit up/in color to show me where the new posts are located.  Yes I feel like a sheep not looking around just expecting someone to show me everything! lol  Thanx flipside a point for you
