Hey Everyone,

I am doing some house cleaning with our server as I had 3 complete working forums online that I used for testing while this forum got upgraded back in March, so Im deleting directories left and right freeing up a bunch of space for future growth..

So if you find that some images are not working, Ive backed up everything first, so just let me know and I will restore those lost directories and files.

I cannot seem to get the search to work for me it always ask if I forgot someting or get no results. And it's kind of a bummer that you cant search just by the user you have type in words for the subject.

BigMike: also, relating to the chat room, I use FireFox, and it shows that it cannot verify your certificates.  It does work fine with IE, just not FireFox.  Just thought I'd let ya know.

I use FireFox religiously as I can not stand MS Internet Exploder, and I had to install Java on my system in order to use the chat room. It works perfectly with both FireFox 1.0.6 and my IE.

Hmm......... I don't know why it would be doing that? It is coded to automatically join the channel #MarlinCrawler, but if it doesn't, then you will need to use IRC code. Enter this into the prompt: "/join #[channel]"  where [channel] is the channel you wish to join. For example, "/join #MarlinCrawler" will get you into our chat room.

I was wondering if there is a way to enable the shout box to appear at the top of every page within the bb, it may cut down on the off-topic chatter within threads..... just a thought. Even if it can't be linked to the main page shout box a shout box would give those within topics and threads a way to chat without interupting that thread?

It would work better than the new Chit-Chat room since when you are in there you can't monitor posts in the bb without opening a new window and even if you do that you have to keep bouncing from window to window.

Actually, yes, this is possible and very easy to do...And I think I originally had it this way, but I thought it was to much page clutter.......

But, its so much eaiser to see what everyone is shouting about that way because I can still be browsing the threads and I dont have to continually return to the main page..

I was also working on a way for the shout box to automatically reload in it's own area (without the rest of the page reloading) but it got real complicated real quick like, so I gave up on the idea.

I am going to be doing some other changes today, so I will look into this as well
