Not really sure.  They have had bomb threats up their last week and they are still trying to find out if these are related to the shootings and if the shootings are related to each other.

True.

Not A Toy

but i do agree with you, the war has turned into a car alarm.. people kinda get used to hearing it so that when it does go off its either unnoticed or no one cares.

you raise a very valid point there!

Except for the fact that...if the drinking laws were enforced, there wouldn't be as many drunk students in the first place.

Just thought I would update everybody since the 32 at virginia tech sounded important.

I don't know your point or your motive for making this comparison...I get a bit edgy from all the left wing peeps calling these wars up as some sort of unprecedented carnage.

During any given year since these wars began, more people have been killed by drunk drivers in this country than have been killed since the wars began.

More people have been murdered in the US since the war began...most murders are alcohol or drug related.

More people died in the first DAY of the Iwo Jima invasion than in the entire duration of both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

EVERY soldier who has died in the wars...was a volunteer. The young people at Vtech weren't. They were unable to defend themselves...because of who?

If you don't think Sadam had WMD perhaps you could ask the 100k Kurds he gassed...oh sorry, they're dead.

In these wars we are fighting an enemy every bit as dark, sick and determined to crush our country as were the Nazi's.

Do you think he's what this is all about?

Do you think if Bin Laden was found floating face down in the East River tomorrow...all the rest of the Islamic fascists would suddenly want to join your local softball team and start reading US or People?

They, (apparently) like the gunman at Vtech, HATE THIS COUNTRY. They hate our culture. This war did NOT start on 9/11, we've been in a war for the survival of our nation for 25-30 years.

Like the Terminator, you cannot reason with these killers, the only thing they want is total capitulation, conversion to Islam and STRICT adherence to Sharia law. (I wonder how NOW would like being subjugated by real chauvinists?).

The left doesn't understand that they will be the first to be killed if the war comes to our shores...because so much of the left is the culture they hate. The open arms, anything goes, "Hollywood" lifestyle and the liberal led education system are what they hate. Look at what "pop culture" values...you'll find out what they hate.

You have the media to thank for that...I heard on reporter ask a kid, something to the effect of, *Does this make you feel like Katrina?* !. Everything the media does is geared toward panic, blame and victimhood.

I can proudly say I'm a life long Conservative. I do listen to Fax for my news, I listen to Rush, Glen Beck, Hannity, Dennis Miller, Dennis Prager and Hugh Hewitt. I watch O'reilly on occasion...he's a bit too proud of himself (I liked the fight between him and Geraldo the other night!).
