Lookin nice bro!  This rig is really going to turn out well.  I know it is not the most stylish thing to do but have you considered using the top of the cage in the bed as the tire carrier or perhaps a little roof rack for camping gear/cooler/whatever?  I do not knwo how much stuff you normally pack for trips but the bed is pretty limited in size with the seats for the wee ones so I was just wondering if you were going to utilize the empty space on top of the cab or the cage.

I dunno, that thing is so fricken tall already, putting more weight on the top doesn't seem like that great of an idea

Yeah I was thinking the same thing but I was not sure.  Perhaps just a little rack for stuff other than the heavy ass swamper.  It is tall but it has a wide ass foot print as well though.  Maybe a tire rack carrier that would hold the tire vertical in the bed would work as well and save up alot of bed room.

Or you could semi prerunner it out the back a bit, at like a 40* or so, then you can still see out the rear.

I'm going to be building a swing out spare tire carrier tail gate for my truck soon here. It will end up being at about a 40* angle. Much better than having the spare layin' in the bed

Truck looks really good!! Can't wait to see it painted and wheeling though...soon enough
