What did you end up doing with the paint?

As far as prep, and what not, i mean...

as for prep, I tried to take it down to the factory primer, but didn't pan out that way in some spots. Found atleast one good patch of bondo on everything but the hood , and the areas around the bondo were bare metal undernieth the red. I did some bondo work on the bob section, and on a few other little spots but didn't go all out, it's gonna get beat on. After taking care of the bare metal I wiped the whole thing down with acetone, then primed. Used 400 grit to wet sand everything, the bed needed another coat of primer and another wet sanding though. After the wet sanding was done, wiped it down with denatured alcohol & shot the color. I'm sure there were some errors in my ways  :_oops:

Thanks for the compliments  :beerchug:

Yeah, those are the teeth I had on before and will probably do again. Topar said something about snake teeth though? wasn't sure what those were supposed to look like.

Not yet, I want to get some other stuff done for wheeling before anything else

• Front hanger for pinion angle
• Front shocks and hoops
• Rear axle back 1.5-2"
• Rear fender trim
• Spacers all around
• Lock boxes in cab
• Fire extinguisher, first aid kit, etc.
• Rock lights wired
• Spare carrier built (tailgate type)
• Diff covers & sliders

As well as other things but last time I made a list of things to do before wheeling season I think only 1 got done.  :smack: . I've got most of the day off so I may get a few of these things done today or this weekend.

Anyone have suggestions on a decent timing gun? Not HF but not really fancy either  :dunno:

How do the rock lights work out down there?  I've got a set I need to install and that looks like a perfect place for them!!  Do they stay somewhat clean being closer to the middle of the truck?  Do they do a good job lighting up the rear?

Nice truck!  You'll love those Iroks.

They work great in the middle, have them bolted to what's left of the spare carrier assembly. I'll get some picks of the lighting for you tonight.

Nice truck!  You'll love those Iroks.

I am running just one 55w tractor light just like yours but mounted up on the xmember between the shocks. It lights up the whole rear of my truck pretty good.
