 :shake:

There are only TWO reasons that I can think of to have stacks:

1:  Your 'rig' is an 18 wheeler  (duh)
2:  To bring the exhaust up to clear very deep water crossings (and this is stretching it)

Although, reason 2 is rarely applicable due to the fact that most do not waterproof the engine.

the ONLY thing i could see this doing is getting your exhaust up and over your enormous fifth wheel.... but this guy prob dont even got a fifthwheel

Actually last year when I was towing my 5th wheel over to the coast, I saw a cummins at fuel stop that had stacks and a big 5th wheel. There was black soot all over the front of the 5th wheel and the guy was telling me how much he hated the noise and the soot on his trailer from the stacks. So you'd have to have some pretty tall stacks to get over the trails these days.

California law is the stacks have to be pointed straight back, not out the side or slightly out the side like the truck in the pic.

i see no way around it really, if it comes out the side it will get the side of the trailer.... turn your damn tuner down....

Stacks are stupid.   :shake_head:

i think stacks can be pretty cool if they are low key-ish. like if they mostly are below the cab and are not chrome, i think they are sick. i would go with just a single 8" stack. besides, if you do sled pulls and things like that, your exhaust has to either exit straight up or down. and its harder to rip off on the trails. but i would keep the stock exhaust location over stacks any day.

Ditto   My old boss put a tube bed on his 72 toy 2wd, lifted it and made stacks.  It looked ok and sounded kinda cool, but they were still stacks  :ack:

HECK YEA!!!

2WD - 50" to bottom of door. How the hell do you get in this thing?????

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOYOTA-TACOMA-LEATHER-LIFTED-MONSTER-TRUCK-4X4-READY-/150552812800?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item230da59d00

This is one SUPER SWEET truck. This 2002 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Pre-Runner Double Cab TRD has a ton of upgrades that make it stand out and literally stand above all the rest on the road. It stands at 8'9"  Tall and  50" from the ground.  It has brand new LEAF Spring Lift Tires (49/20/21 super swamper Tires and irok rims), and a long list of cool features, such as  a Custom Lift with dana 60 front axle and dana 70 rear axle out of 1999 Chevy 1 ton 7.17gears. It has a 3.4 V-6 Auto, power windows, doors, and locks.  Cool AC and a warm heater. Hydrolic steering assistance, and front and rear euro Lights. And a custom made hitch.   And on the inside, the interior has been customized with black and tan leather ostrich seats and door panels.  Touch Screen Clarion Doublebin Navigation CD and DVD player, with amp, and 4 TV screens.  2 of the tvs are in the headrests, 1 is a drop down and 1 is In-Dash. Worth $3,500. And to keep all this safe, it does have an alarm system with a remote start.  This is an awesome truck, that definitely gets noticed anywhere and everywhere you go, and is a SUPER FUN ride.  It has over $30,000 worth of upgrades in it and it is a great deal.  It looks great, and drives great too! Great in the city and offroad too.  We could also consider a trade or a partial trade and cash so dont miss out on this truly one of a kind tacoma call 904-237-4950 for any questions thanks

just dug this up.  Guy I knows pathfinder that lives in folsom.  If you ever see it at prarie city it wont be doing anything but sitting, thats why it's a disgrace.  The guy built it all crazy and named it POD or pathfinder of death.  We like to tell him he should have named it Pathfinder on display or princess on display.

I think its funny how people will have decked out a crawler. And then the rig hasnt even seen dirt. why the hell would you go threw all the troubles of makin it if your not going to wheel it?

I think a vendor build that Hummer that way to showcase its drivetrain, frame, etc it was selling. Don't think its driveable like that at all. I can't tell either from this comp but isn't that a TV on the front as well? Advertising at Sema, nothing more.
