Carnage is one of those trails that is hard to get recovery rigs on if you break.  The entrance and exit are both tough.  I wouldn't suggest running it with stock birfields or small, bald tires (ask me how I know )  Be prepared to take a ton of damage to your rig and possible drivetrain damage.  It took 5 of us last summer 12 hours to complete the .9 mile trail.  We had multiple breaks that took quite a bit of time to fix (hard to find a flat spot to work under the rig).

I'm not trying to scare you off but it's a very tough trail and could end up being a very very long day on the trail trying to recover a broken truck.

Oh man you just got me so excited.
I plan on being ready to run that trail by the jambo. I should be locked front and rear with 30 spline longs, and im hoping to bob and dovetail by then as well. the only thing I wont have that I want are dual cases. But I should probably start collecting spare parts as well.

I'm sooooooooooo pumped for that weekend!  I've been planning it for about 3 months now.  I've sent out hundreds of PM's here, on YT, CO4x4, and CoTTORA getting the word out about the Jambo!

Dual cases would be nice for that trail :)  I couldn't imagine running it without them.  Your clutch will be hating life :)  The bob and dove tail will help with the body damage!  I forgot, do you have a good set of sliders?  You'll be using them.

I really want to get duals I just dont think i can get the money. and I could ask for an adapter for x-mas or something  :ha_ha:
Well I guess we will just have to wait and see how far I get on the truck by then and then decide if I should run it or not.

Don't go broke trying to get your truck ready to run Carnage this August.  We can always go back and run it later.  Honestly, I don't want to see you wrecking your truck so take this as a buddy giving you some friendly advice.  I don't think I've ever try Carnage without some kind of dual cases.  I've seen a truck similar to yours on Liberty (37's, 5.29's and a stock case) and it was a tough day for him.  Lots of clutch slipping and burnt clutch smells.  I'll have some open seats if you want to ride with me or you can go run another trail in the area (tons of them to pick from).

You'll be perfectly fine on Chinamans so that's a for sure trail we'll run!

I would recommend Scotty at Addicted Off Road or you can contact my buddy Terry (Member of the Rockfrogs, he did my gears) at [email protected].  If you email him, tell him Aaron from the Rockfrogs recommended him.  He's in West Denver.

Yep we meet up and ran hidden valley trial. I think it took 20min to go up the trail and 60min to come down ( thats when are problems started), really short but good a nuff to find out what i need to be fixed. The passenger coil popped out twice so i need a bigger retainer to hold it in the top "bucket". COtoy91 has a supper clean truck and a sick flat bed. Had a great time.
