ok, maybe its a differnt all data, the all data i am thinking of is the online/cd supported mechanics info, where you buy the system and it has everything for mechanics, tsbs, updates, dx, etc

BTW - what are you going to be doing? I know customer service, but what does that entail? And most importantly, will you have a cube?

 I'll have a cube.  Alldata is, as Jim said, a program that mechanics use for finding parts for vehicles.  If they can't find the part they need or of they're having problems with their program, they'll call the Customer Service Rep (CSR=me :disturbed: ) and we'll walk them through the problem or walk them through finding their part :gap:

Not my own cube, but I split it with someone else, but basically there's a little bit of a wall but they're there if I need help... make sense?

I actually discussed "pranks" with the manager today.  She was worried bout offensive pranks, and I told her the "foiled" story and she agreed that's acceptable :eyebrow: (She doesn't have a cube, she has her own office all the way across the building

Oh sure, one office I worked in would have 4-6 desks together in one "cube". We called them 'pods'.

I liked that setup, it was more social, but we still have a good time in our cubes. It's not like we don't talk amongst ourselves, we just don't see each other. LOL!

My cube is shaped like that too!  Barely fit us in with the 8 computers in with us!

Thanks guys... I'm excited.  It pays about the same overall as my last job, but it's fewer hours (bankers hours :woohoo: ) and less stressful.  It should get me through the holidays, and if I enjoy it I'll stick to it.  If I don't enjoy it enough to stick with it, I'll open my daycare that I've already bought everything for :disturbed:

Well, the first day went well. They promised to overwhelm us and they did just that.  Out of 67000 customers, when I was observing some phone calls, someone I knew called in it was crazy.  My smog mechanic in Livermore called in and talked to the guy I was listening in with.  I didn't talk to the guy, but I knew him, his shop, and his name. It was pretty cool.

The mgr said I'm her "parts girl" I thought that was kinda cool.  I'm looking forward to about a month from now when I know the program better and can be comfortable in the field.

Yes, I'll have a free subscription for AllDataPro :woohoo: So I can access it at home :hyper: We took breaks like crazy I couldn't believe it.  We had 2 tens and a lunch, that's way more than I'm used to :hammer:

On my down time once I get used to the programs and phones I'll be able to be on the board while I'm at work.  But until then, I'll be getting on daily after work

More updates as the days go by.

:psss: He can call me his sugar momma :eyebrow: He gonna be hookin me up at his next job anyway
