motor mount help?
« on: Jul 22, 2006, 07:26:04 AM »
I have an 84, 22r.

I have new motor mounts that I'd like to run the 1/2" bolts through.  I was told there was a small hole that I just drilled to 1/2"... there isn't one in the old or new motor mount.  please help- I'm on a very tight time schedule today.  pics in a minute.  thanks
I'm going yota JUST so I can buy from Marlin more.

Man! this thread has really taken off.  :P  ;D

I got the passenger side changed just like normal (guess I'll chain them down)

I have the drivers side off and there is a small plate that had a bolt in it.  I hammered that bolt out and have the 1/2" one but I still am unsure of something.

If I drill out all the metal that the bolt will go through, what do I do about the rubber motor mount that already has a bolt "stud" in it.  I wouldn't drill that out would I?  that doesn't make sense.  As of right now I am going outside to change the drivers one just like the normal passenger one.  then I'll chain them down better (I already chained them once but they were not straight)... I guess this'll do it for motor mounts.

THEN it's on to the mild Drivetrain lift and SKY skidplate.  I think I'll save pulling the motor for another day b/c I am not sure I can handle it by myself.   :-\  hate to admit that but it's true.  :yesnod:

I MIGHT retube the front dshaft though- that I can handle   :yesnod:

alright- thanks for reading this DIY.. later man.     :cheese:   :rofl2:

you have to take the old stud out and then drill it out to 1/2"
