I plan to trim the fenders some, but I will be setting up bumpstops to keep them out of the fenders:)

I'm not fond of the narrowed truggy look, I'm already bummed that my bed was too junk to use, but I want the majority of the fenders and I really don't want to narrow the front either:)

hopefully I'll get some action pics next weekend finally!

awesome, I'll say it agian this is a sweet build and maybe when I'm down in the colorado area we can meet up and wheel sometime

Great looking build man  What size swampers are you running? They look like 39.5's Also have you upgraded to thre 35 spline stubs in the front. That is next on my list besides rear wheel spacers.

Thanks, I'm leaning to a tube bed. Anyone have ideas on how to attach bedsides to it? I really wanted an encloseable cab with this one, and I wanted it to at least "look" like a truck.

All finished with the rear suspension

Turned it around and took off the hood, now I can get the EFI done a little easier and finish the brakes and steering:)

This should be ride height, give or take and inch or so once the springs settle

You could just use the bed side pannels and attach them with deutz fasteners. :dunno:

thanks

gotrocks look me up if you come down here, there are lots of fun places around here:)

I think I am going to put bedsides on eventually, I had to scrap this one. Rust on the wheels and it got dented up a lot worse than I thought sitting behind my friends shop ::) They are 39.5's, I've thought of going to 42's but these get me everywhere and I never break them. I have upgraded 35 spline all around though, rear, and front inner and outers, stock u-joints.

got a little done today, added some extra for the winch. Its all hooked up and running now, brand new XP9.5 I guess it is :dunno:

Bent the main tune from 1 3/4" .120 HREW, the front bar is the same and its welded to the 6x6 plate. I also added two 4x4x1/4" gussets on the bottom too.  :)

next weekend is the maiden run in Montrose. It will flex.

yota12345

This is really nice rig. i can wait to see the flex pics.

jkimmel

got it out this weekend, maiden voyage was calamity canyon, and then ran die trying the next day, saturday was raining way too hard so we drove to moab and ran pritchett, no pics from that.

overall it was incredible, 8 months of hard work all worth it. Nothing broke, no real glaring problems. I had to replace a steering line to the pump, I used heater hose and the pump was collapsing it, so I replaced with a heavier duty hose, problem solved.

The carb ran PHENOMENAL. Lowered the floats, added a fuel pressure regulator, and vented the bowl and it ran every but as good as EFI. No joke. I would have to feather the gas really slightly when I was sitting on big inclines, but really off camber, or steep climbs or drops and no issues at all.

Need to finish the cage and tube bed, that will happen shortly, and really the only other thing is I need a center limit strap on the rear. On steep decents it would lift the shocks some increasing the pucker:)

hmmm...have a few pics to post but 100k is the limit and mine are 102. no pics then.

Matty

nice.  that thing is a beast.  :king:

gotrocks

Yota87Truck

Awsome truck.  Looks great.

jkimmel

I finally got a little progress...after hammering to get it moving for Montrose, inspiration and motivation has been hard to come by lately. Especially after I bent the b-pillar and it just wasn't right, I figured back to the drawing board to bend a new one. About two weeks later I put it back up on the truck, and thought, "maybe a little more bend here then pull it out there," and it seemed to fit pretty good.

jkimmel

Have a lot more to do, but the spare will go in the back, I will cover the tank with sheetmetal and I can put cooler and gear there, and I'll build a spot in between for tools and such. Also have to connect the bed to the shock hoops :)

boggerunner

nice build, are u needing an efi head, i might have a few up her in grand junction
