Hey man, what's up?

First thing I thought of was...why truss and cover a Diamond axle? They should be more than enough for anything that the human body can survive.
I went to BTF and didn't see a front truss/cover, only the rear.

No offense to the shop, $291 is a fair price for a new one, but you can get Aisin hubs used for $40. I bought 3 sets.

Are you sure you need the 6 stud arms and knuckles or are you just getting trapped by the "Man that's cool factor"?

Improvements?
A wider Diamond axle...if you go 4.75 inches wider the passenger side perch will fit fully on the axle tube, better articulation and you'll only need one custom shaft (but that's more money!).

I know. I've built several, in my mind shop! That doesn't mean we can't saved some $$$ where we can.

It's just the axle, no suspension.

id much rather have rockwells.  shaved right and they will have the same clearence as  a dana44 and you dont have all that leverage on a portal box..  a guy in TTC  killed his rear mog axle from running 44s and bangin it..  to much leverage...  yeah they are cool but to much crap to break.

For that kind of dough you could build a 60 that would stand the test of time.
