munchkins are amazingly funny...i remember when my dad brought home the 58 and parked it in our driveway, i wrote my name on the fender and told him it was mine....he just laughed but who has it now???

LOL good times,  I remember when I was 12 and started living on the ranch in the ssummers and I wanted to drive my grandpas 51,  I practically lived in the jeep till I had figured out what everything was and how it worked which wasnt easy since every lable have lone since been worn clear of any real clue as to what they were...   Ahh good times lol now I have that jeep, just like you got your fathers!!!

Santa came again today and I am stoked, got a big box from superior axles,  These axles are beefy, 1.62in at their largest point and 1.42 at the narrowest point, 32spline,  I cant believe how much larger and heavier these are than stock...


Also I have a new idea to run by you guys, give me your opinions and pros and cons.....  I am looking at my jeep and its not that easy to get in and out of so I was thinking of a way to make it easier especially since its going to be my dd when its done........


ALright no laughing but here it is,  I want to build the doors out of 1in square tubing  haveing an outer frame and a crossmember every 6in.... with some 1/8in alum diamondplate boted on as skin, but heres the big part, rather than swinging open towards the front of the rig like typically I will build some brackets that run close to the body and mount to the sliders and when opened they will swing down and provide a ramp simular to a cattle ramp that would make the first steping point 20in closer to the ground...

Ok ok I know Im a slacker heres whats new,  I dont have pics of my shafts but I did take them out of the box to measure shaft diameters...

But here are some pics this first one is of my bumper im building for my father in law, its actually a bit further along but the pics I have are not uploaded yet....  But I have the main bar on top built and the skids for the bottom....  The skids worked awesome they come down perfectly and protect the steering box,  this jeep is my buddies,  there actually wont be a gap between the fenders and bumper on my father in laws (only 3/4in not the 2in shown)



These second two are of the switch pannel I just got in the mail this morning thanks to 12volt guy,  its looks sweet, these pics do it no justice... 



And I have the skids and suspension done on the jeep I have a few more things I hope to get done over the weekend and then I will get some pics uploaded...

lol that is one HEFTY bumper. to test it throw it off a cliff and be sure to take a pic of the new rock dust you made and then bolt that baby back up.

And yea the bumper is pretty beefy, we have a ton of deer in montana and my father in law wants to keep them off his grill...  The angle of that pic also makes the bumper look larger it doesnt look quite as big in person... Its about 7in tall in the center and 2.5 on the outer edges...  Givin it 6in of extra clearance at the outer wheel over the stock bumper.

Alast there was nothing    so we moved on    to someone eleses build    not as happy or fulfilled and wanting our SKIPINROCKS build but there was none      so when you finaly came back  , we were not so happy    to see you cause we feel you left us at a time that we realy needed you  and you werent there for us  , I know     I know  YOU have a family and YOU have to go to scrhool and YOU have more excuses than a fat kid at a buffet for why you needed that second helping    but WE dont care WE want pictures and some more dam building and we want IT NOW
