Whats my 85 4-runner worth??????

I have 1985 toyota 4-runner in good condition with the exception of normal wear and tear SR5 package center console has heat ,AC 134-A ,PW,CC,tilt wheel ,no rips or tears new top end new clutch,3 inch pro comp lift new shocks  33 12.5 mud tires on 15 inch rims 4:30 gears W-56 tranny (showing its age) runs very strong ive driven it 6 times from california to idaho ! very reliable!!  Also has custom built rear bumper with D-rings and a reciever hitch!  So tell me what i should ask for it? any idea's or thoughts would be appreciated........

  :talkingn:  I'd say you'll be lucky to get  $3.5 for it, people will really try and low ball you. Post up some pics so we've got something to go by.

im with shamb here ask what u want for it but u will be lucky too get 3500 for it.its worth 5000 but nobody will pay what its realy worth stupid economy

ha i paid $500 for my truck bone stock about a year and a half ago but the tranny was bad. but ive put like 3 grand+ in my truck

i  was  driving a 85 Dodge Ramcharger ,  drove buy this dealership in Texarkana TX and there it sat way off in the back, the dealer was selling it cause his dad was too old to drive anymore and had hit and killed a horse,  small dent in the fender from the bumper bending back :hammer:   i made the deal,  and never looked back,  had 170,000  on it then now has 385000

Here in NC you can get a 1st gen 4runner for about $1500 in pretty good shape. I payed $1000 for my 85 4Runner, found it in my Landlady's barn

4runner freak

I bought my '85 4runner for $1500(thanks to this site) 3 months ago, 170k mi, runs great, new clutch, brown interior, slowly :yawn: converting to gray. In Colorado.
I'd say $3k

Looks good, I would say at least 3 grand, But it's only worth what someone will pay for it! :beerchug:

Good point wideopen, kinda like how you were tryin forever to sell your first gen, even though it was a pretty decent deal.  Despite what people think, this board doesn't seem to be the place to sell trucks for a higher price, because everybody are such deal hounds and wanna lowball everything.  I'm the same way too, if I don't feel like I'm getting a smokin deal I pass.  I'd stick it on ebay, it'll sell for a decent amount there (just don't put rock crawler in the title!), and pretty high if it's efi I bet.
